Tour in Buenos Aires

We had a blast with our guide. We had been to Buenos Aires once before so our guide customized the tour. We went to the market, stopped at a few bakeries, ate empanadas (delicious), saw some sights we missed on our first tour 4 years ago and had lunch at an Argentinian BBQ restaurant. Great time, great guide.

There is so much to see in Buenos Aires that a driver and guide is the only way to experience the best of the entire city. The time in the car can be spent talking to your professional guide about all the things you want to know about the city, the country and the life of the people. When you are walking to the sites you can enjoy the experience without needing to stay close to a guide. Our guide was delightful and knowledgeable. It was a wonderful day!

Our tour was by car and had a driver so our guide could focus on us not traffic. Our guide Rosty was an amazing person. He is passionate about his city and allowed us to customize our tour. Rosty suggested places we had not heard about and his explanations were interesting and detailed. We were able to provide input into the time we spent at each stop depending on our interest. We were all over the city and felt we saw the highlights in our one day. We had lunch in the market and really enjoyed the beef and other sides Rosty suggested we try. We highly recommend this tour to get a feel for the city so you can explore more later or if you only have one day in Buenos Aires.

Amazing indepth tour of Buenos Aires

Having 5 hours to kill before departing Buenos Aires, I booked this private tour for my friend and me. We had the most amazing tour guide named Rosty who knows practically everything about the history and city of Buenos Aires. He asked us our interests and tailored the tour to meet our expectations. We went to the Metropolitan Cathedral and he gave us the history and significance of this cathedral. He took us to lunch at one of 12 most beautiful cafes in the world, Confiteria Ideal, which rivals any cafes in Vienna and Paris. We also saw the most beautiful bookstore in the world. This gives more insight into Buenos Aires beyond tango, Evita Peron and La Boco. We also had the most patient and friendly driver named Alex who finally dropped us off at the airport for our flight home. This was indeed a pleasant and interesting interlude before heading home. We learned more about Buenos Aires than we did with the group excursion offered by our cruise line.

We enjoyed the day with Augustine and Cisco. They had a great plan which gave us a wonderful overall view of the neighborhoods as well as the main sights. Lunch with them in an old town neighborhood restaurant was a great touch. We felt like old friends at days end. I would definitely recommend this tour as a way to introduce the city or as in our case spend time before a late flight out.

Outstanding tour and tour guide. Luz was indeed our shining light on this one whirlwind day to see Buenos Aires. We had a little mechanical challenge that was rectified and got us back on track. We didn't loose any time and felt we covered the major tourist attraction in record time. We thoroughly enjoyed the lunch in La Boca with a neighborhood restaurant rather than the touristy locations. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was accommodating to my high pace and my travel partners health issues all at the same time. I would highly recommend this tour and ask for Luz!!

Excellent guide: Alexandra AND Excellent driver: Kiko. Just my wife & me (2 of us) were their guests and they customized the tour for us as it progressed. Alexandra was VERY knowledgeable about everything concerning Buenos Aires (history, architecture, art, food, economics, politics, etc), was an excellent communicator (inc English - our only language), was very friendly / personable, was very candid when responding to questions, AND was very focused on our comfort / customizing the walking to our limitations (important since my wife recently had knee surgery). Kiko was a very safe driver, was also very friendly (eventhough his English was limited), was very helpful to my wife getting in & out of the car (with her knee discomfort), AND was very responsive to Alexandra’s directions to maximize our sight-seeing. Although the official tour does NOT include lunch, I wanted to have a “typical” Buenos Aires lunch WITH both Alexandra & Kiko joining my wife & me: Alexandra arranged it and we had a delightful Empanada lunch (inc personal conversation) with Alexandra & Kiko at a popular (with local “Portenos”) cafe in the Palermo district. I purchased the lunch for all 4 of us and it was less than $30.
