      A life list must!
      Barbara_G, Feb 2024
Our tour guide, Fabio, was fun and knowledgeable! With his itinerary suggestions for the day we were able to hike both upper and lower trails of Iguazu National Park (Argentina Side) and go on the boat tour which goes under the falls! The Devil’s throat trail that was damaged in 2023 was closed. Fabio suggested we go to the Brazil side of Iguazu Falls so we could see Devil’s throat water falls (additional fee). Our driver for the day was great and his car was clean! It was well worth the cost to have a private tour because it made it possible for us to do so much in one day and to be on our own schedule. The tour company should advise their clients that even though they are arranging the air transfers from your hotel and airplane tickets, that there will be no tour guide until you reach Iguazu Falls Airport. We had to make a name change on our airplane ticket at the airport and were told by the tour company that it could be done at the airport. The airport transfer car was not clean. The driver dropped us off with no other instructions. We tried to call the after hours emergency number for the travel agency and no one returned our call until AFTER we had resolved the issue on our own.
      Excursion Was Overpriced
      Caryn_H, Mar 2023
My husband and I had been looking forwrd to this excursion for nearly a year, but we felt it was extremely overpriced for what was delivered. The guide at the park was excellent, but we would not recommend booking through Viator or Tango. It would have been much less expensive to purchase the airfare, airport transfers and park entrance fees on our own. We understand the organizers have to get paid for their administrative time, but I would say this bordered on price gouging. Additionally, our experience was marred by bad weather and delayed flights (Obviously this was not under the control of the tour operator), the weather was rainy so we never got to the upper falls or some of the other trails. We did go to Devils Throat. We opted to take the boat ride under the falls and had to pay extra for that - we were quoted $50 each (so $100 total), but when the charge came through on our credit card it totaled $176! We contacted the tour operator (Tango) directly with our concerns and got a very generic “form letter” type response. Viator needs to vet these operators. FYI, I took a very good tour to the Grand Canyon last year that’s why I trusted Viator with this excursion, but It is unlikely that I will book with Viator again and I would definitely not recommend this tour to anyone.
      Beware
      Pranay_P, Mar 2020
I do not recommend this tour company. We had a reservation for two that was cancelled the night before departure due to a flight cancellation. This was understandably unfortunate however what was absolutely frustrating was the fact that we were not given a full refund despite the fact that all arrangements including airfare were made by this tour operator.
      Response from Host, Jun 2020
Dear Pranay Patel, We are really sorry that your flight and tour were canceled. Unfortunately the departure flight was cancelled by the Latam airline, however the return flight was confirmed. As indicated in the terms and conditions of this tour, our company is not responsible for the cancellation policies of the airlines as their penalties are very strict. Although this tour has no refunds our reservation team made a great effort with the airline to obtain a refund. You received a partial refund for the transfers, guide and the one-way flight (the return flight was confirmed). On the other hand, you were not available to change the date of your tour, so in this case we see other alternatives with the airline and the traveler. We understand your dissatisfaction but the airlines have their own cancellation policies and we must adjust to them. We appreciate your comprehension and comments as it helps us improve the quality of our services. Kind regards, Tangol Travel Agency

Tangol Tour arranged our day. Picked up at hotel at 6:30 AM, dropped off at downtown airport. Due to last minute change, some confusion for pickup time & flight info. 1 1/2 hr flight from Buenos Aries to Iguazu. Our private tour guide Alex met us at the airport. Can’t say enough good about him. We experienced in 6 hrs what generally takes a full day in the park. He was aggressive getting us on train & boat ride under San Martins falls, which was a great experience, but you do get drenched! We did the train to Devils Throat hike, hiked the Upper Falls trail, had a buffet lunch, did the 2 hr Iguazu boat ride. Alex got us back to the airport using a tour driver. We had no info on our returning flight. He spoke with agent to facilitate. He contacted tour company to ensure we’d be picked up at airport & returned to hotel at midnight. A very long day but well worth it.

Sometimes you have to pay a bit more for a trip to get the very best out of your experience this was one of those times. Seamless travel door to door great relaxed informative guide who loved his job and his world.
      Restricted itinerary and low support

I paid US 1.920 for two people one day tour Buenos Aires-Iguazú. Departure flight was more than 2 hours delayed, so I needed to change the flight back to be able to do the complete tour at Iguazú. My ticket was very restricted and did not allow changes. Needed to buy new tickets for US330.
      Response from Host, Jun 2020
Dear Diego Forero, we are really sorry that your flight was delayed at the end of the tour. As indicated in the terms and conditions of this tour, our company is not responsible for the cancellation or reschedule policies of the airlines as their penalties are very strict. Stella_M, Apr 2019
We enjoyed this trip tremendously. The guide was friendly and informative. The falls are amazing! The only regret is that we did not have time to go on the boat to the bottom of the falls since we lost almost 3 hours due to flight delay and it was only a day trip. We definitely want to do this trip again.

This was a great trip. It was a very long day! We were picked up from our hotel at 6:30 am and taken to the airport. After reading other reviews beforehand, we made sure to have the paperwork with flight information and confirmation no. to go to the counter to get our airline tickets. We had a good flight from Buenos Aires to Iguazu airport. We were met by our tour guide just before noon at the airport. We were driven to the park. Our guide knew where we should start to avoid the crowds. We walked the main trails to the overlooks to see the falls. We packed some snacks for lunch and water bottles plenty of good drinking water from outdoor spigots at central locations. We were traveling at the beginning of January and it was very hot and crowded. If we had known ahead of time, we would have brought a change of clothes and a rain poncho to take the boat ride around the falls, especially to see the Brazilian side. The boat ride was an option additional cost to walking in the heat. Since we were returning to Buenos Aires at the end of the day by plane, we chose not to get soaked on the boat ride. We left the park at 6 pm and were driven to the airport. We arrived back at our hotel by 11 pm. The falls are beautiful and the trip was well planned by the tour operator with the limited amount of time. Our guide was good and we enjoyed seeing the falls this way. Just wish we would have brought a change of clothes to get some relief from the heat on the boat ride.

We were so happy that we took this trip. It was exhausting but worth it! We were picked up at 3:30 am and whisked off to the airport. It was a good flight to Iguazu airport, where we were met by a wonderful tour guide, Marcos. We were the first people to enter the park. Marcos knew when and where to go to avoid the crowds, and was also very protective of the park. We walked all of the trails and had lunch at the Melia Hotel.... highly recommended. Marcos stayed with us until we were settled back at the airport waiting for our trip home. It was another good flight and our driver was waiting at the airport to drive us back to our hotel. We arrived back at 10:30 pm. The falls are beautiful and the tour was well planned and executed in an outstanding fashion. We highly recommend seeing the falls this way.

Our trip was fabulous!! We were picked up at our hotel on time and taken to the airport. Reservations were in place. On arrival our guide was at the airport with a sign with our name.....Sebastian stayed with us the entire day and was great. His pace was perfect and he was so informative about the area/flora/fauna/birds etc. The falls were so much more than we expected!!! Upon arrival back at BA airport another driver was waiting to take us back to our hotel. We left BA at 9am and arrived back at our hotel at11pm....a long, full day but well worth the trip.

The trip to Iguazu Falls was the big extravaganza at the end of a month long trip in South America. It lived up to the billing. Our guide was very knowledgable and nice. We were able to see everything at our own pace. She made sure that we explored certain areas of the first so that we minimized the impact of the crowds,. It was a wonderful day. The only improvement is that the instructions in my voucher from Viator did not tell us to check in for our flight to Iguazu and that a representative would meet us only once we arrived in Iguazu. We were dripped off at the airport without any further instructions and did not have tickets for the flight. We thought that a Viator representative would be meeting us at the Buenos Aires airport to give us our tickets for the flight. The ticket counter agent helped us, but the lack of clear instructions caused unnecessary anxiety.

If you are going to be in Buenos Aires, this is a must see. We had an amazing guide who took his time to explain everything and because we are senior citizens he didn't hurry us. I almost didn't want to walk the 1 mile out to an overlook and he explained we could take our time and stop and rest. I am so glad we did, it was worth the effort. two suggestions. 1- go in April or May, as It was so hot in January. 2nd take more than 1 day there. We wished we would have planned more time. We were very tired from this trip. If we had more time we could have taken the boat around the falls too. Our guide showed us the best of the best, but with more time we would have enjoyed it more. This is a MUST SEE.

Overall a good trip: good guide, all arrangements went well.. However, we did not get in advance when we were to be picked up from our hotel.. The local number could not be accessed from the USA. I called Viator and got the info from them. I then had the concierge at our hotel reconfirm and only then found out our airline and flight from Buenos Aires to Iguazu. It was a good thing we did this in that our pick up driver did not have the flight info.

The falls were fantastic and our guide was outstanding. The only problem we had was that our driver from the hotel to the airport did not speak any english. Also our instructions did not say to when at the airport to go directly and check in.

Grande esperienza, indimenticabile.
