A Buenos Aires Experience Everyone Should Have

The dinner was excellent, the tango dancing entertaining! My only complaint was that the venue was noisy, making it difficult to converse with other diners. Being picked up and dropped off at our hotel was a really nice and convenient.

The whole show was fantastic and the food was great we got held up getting there due to a protest but manager and staff did there best not to let our late arrival spoil the show

Our guide, Hernan, picked us up at our hotel, made sure we were seated at the show and checked in on us before the show to be sure we were comfortable. The show and dinner were terrific. The menu was extensive and quite good. Hernan was there at the end to deliver us back to our hotel. We had a wonderful evening.

I took one star off because I want this review to be read. The dinner and show was amazing and definitely worth the money; however, issues that have been mentioned in previous reviews are true. Yes, you could be placed in the back. Yes, the servers are busy and working hard and if you need their attention, chances are slim. Yes, you may not finish your dinner/dessert before the show starts and lights will be dimmed. Yes, they will ask for a tip at the end of the show that supposedly will be shared with the performers. Yes, it is a tight space and people are cramped in there. Serving 100+ people in a short time, quality of food may not be perfect, but there are a lot of choices (including vegetarian and vegan), and all my courses were great! We had 2 bottles of wine and 2 bottles of water at our table of 4. I was a single traveler and was placed at a table of 3 in the second row. I was picked up at my hotel at 6:25pm with one more pickup after me. We were seated at the venue around 7, show started at 8:30 sharp and finished at 9:30. Could the experience be improved? Yes, with less people and maybe a higher price. But… I did enjoy it immensely for the money I paid and would recommend it!!

Great early tango show

We had a great time watching the tango show at Aljibe. We picked the early show since we had a flight the next morning. The show started around 8pm and was over by 10pm. Very entertaining show and a cool experience to check out in Buenos Aires!

While the Tango dancing was first rate, the food was, at best, average. You would need Dracula Canines to eat the steak, the bread was stale and the flan was made during the Peron administration.

The accordion musician is amazing, and the other three are very decent. It’s a fun group to watch and listen to. By comparison, the tango dancers are so-so. I ordered a grilled steak, and it’s delicious, juicy and flavorful. Hotel pick and drop off was smooth. In general, it’s a fun evening outing if you want to be hassle free and hit your hotel bed at a reasonable time, mine is ~10:30.

touristy + lackluster tango

The tango dancers were so-so, the steak was overcooked, and the whole experience was very touristy. The gaucho dancers were pretty awesome which saved the experience from being a total waste. There is tango dancing all over Buenos Aires - I recommend waiting until you are there, and then asking a local how to find a good milonga - instead of going to this tourist trap.

Wonderful meal and tango show! The driver was on time and professional, the show was really well done (and I’ve seen a few tango performances for comparison) and included a gaucho performance. The salad and steak I had was perfect. Highly recommend!

Great show , poor logistics

Whilst the Tango dinner and experience was excellent the logistics were problematic. it took me several messages to the tour operator to come firm out pick up and then when we arrived at the event . which we had pre paid , there was no record of us and no booking . Took a while to sort out and eventually we were allowed in but only after we were able to show a whole series of emails including the payment confirmation .

Very enjoyable and a must for first timers.

The dinner was very good, and the show was excellent. Glad we opted for the early show as it was still 10:00 when we got back to the hotel. The theater was very well decorated and added to the atmosphere. They did ask for $10 per person tip at the end.
