Only a driver, nothing else

I'll start this review by owning up to my own mistake. I thought the tour started an hour later than it did. The driver, Hamed, patiently waited for us. That said, we were disappointed in the car itself ... Having taken a different private tour the day before which was newer, clean, well maintained, this vehicle was a disappointed. It was worn, very tired looking and not as comfortable. Bottled water was supposed to be provided and it was not. We had to ask many times for the driver to keep the windows up (and the polluted air out). He finally got the message but only after I had to get very firm. This is really just a driver for a day.. not exactly a "tour." He tried but the driver was not proficient in English. The tour company needs to provide better English speakers. He took us exactly where we asked to be taken (there was confusion over the Egyptian Museum.. I thought we were going to be taken to the GRAND Egyptian Museum (GEM) which the locals call 'Grand Museum' so there was frustration as I thought he was taking us to the wrong place. He also said the 'Grand Museum' was closed which I knew to be untrue. Aside from that, he took us exactly where we asked to be taken and we ended the day earlier than anticipated.

Incredible experience. Fantastic tour and Lunch. Perfect for a small or large group!

Highly recommend this company and tour operator. Pick up and drop off from our hotel was on time. Our tour guide made sure our booking of 8 people were all having a great time. She was patient and answered any of our questions the best she could. The lunch included was wonderful and the food choices at the buffet were wonderful! We were looking after well and had a phenomenal time. Thank you for everything!

A long day in Cairo

There was too much pressure for us to purchase souvenirs. The bazaar was excluddd from the tour and we were brought to specific shops away from the bazaar

This was our second tour with Emo in Egypt and it was another win! Because we booked tours one day after the other, we were set up with the same guide! I felt that was unexpected but also really good on the companies part. The only mishap was there was miscommunication between booking on viator, the company, and guide. We booked at 8am but the company’s database had 9am, keep that in mind! It worked out in the end, but it was a frustrating start to the day.

Amazing tour with Ehab!

After Hurghada, we had concerns about our trip to Cairo. Both about security and where we would be able to see during the three days. We bought a pyramids tour on the first day, an Egyptian museum and Coptic Cairo tour on the second day, and an Islamic Cairo tour on the third day from Emo Tour. It was flawless in one word. Our tour guide Ehab! We can't thank you enough. Ehab was such a cheerful, knowledgeable, polite, understanding guide that he was the most important factor that made our Cairo vacation unforgettable. Ehab arranged the tour time very well, we visited everywhere to our heart's content. He gave very satisfying information about each place and answered our questions very well. He even waited patiently for us to shop while we were walking in the bazaar (which he didn't have to wait for). He protected us from people who were bothering us or trying to sell us something. His English was fluent. The places they took us to eat were top notch. The car we used for the tour was very new, clean, and the air conditioning worked flawlessly. Both of our drivers were very good, we had a safe journey, and Desouky entertained us a lot by playing Egyptian music. A tour you should take without hesitation!

Thanks to Emo tours for setting us up with our super kind guide (Wajih) which ensured that our day tour met or exceeded our expectations. I recently took an amazing tour led by Salwa, a highly knowledgeable and licensed guide in Egyptian history. Despite a lot of walking, her insights made the experience enriching and worthwhile. Both Salwa and our driver ensured we stayed hydrated in the warm weather, adding to our comfort. The tour exceeded expectations, providing a deep dive into Egypt's rich culture. It was the best day of my whole trip, I liked the program - it included 3 places and even a lunch buffet on a boat. My guide Mahmoud, with whom we could speak both Russian and English languages easily, is kind, cordial person and highly knowlegible historian. March 9th, 2024. Our guide was awesome! Super communicative and in a good mood (unfortunately I can’t remember his name). He seemed to know almost everyone around Cairo and we felt super at ease and safe with him, even at Al Khalili market which was packed with people. We started our day at the Egyptian Museum, where he explained the most important info about the Old and New Kingdoms, and the museum has some pieces that are just breathtaking. After that, we had lunch at a boat restaurant in the Nile and it was pretty good, it had lots of options because it was a buffet (drinks sold separately). After lunch, we headed straight to Al Khalili Market, followed by Old Cairo, Ben Ezra Sinagogue, The Hanging Church and a few more spots before coming back to the hotel. Worth mentioning that we were staying in Giza and the agency picks you up there, so it’s super convenient :)

Good tour to spend a quality day in Cairo

Very fullfilling tour. In one day, we saw the highlights of Cairo without wasting time and on our own schedule. We chose an option of the driver assistance only and had a great time. He drove us around all places we wanted and gave some insights and directions. Sala was a great driver, very helpful and we enjoys his company. My recommendations are to take a 1 hour private guide at the museum to get a better understanding. You will see them around by the ticket booth and it cost just $20, money well spent. We also took a local guide at the Citadel for $10, which was also very interesting and helpful.

There is so much to see and our guide Omar did a fantastic job of catering our tour to exactly what we wanted to see. We saw all the highlights and couldn’t have had a better time! The mosques were breath taking. Coptic Cairo had lots to see and learn. The museum had an overwhelming amount of artifacts and our guide Omar took us to all the highlights and really gave us the most for the short amount of time we had! It’s the most fun I’ve seen my two teenage boys have on a tour!
