Very nice winery tour. Only negative comment I have is the van we rode in had abysmal leg room. It was barely tolerable for a 1 hour drive. Our guide Roger was fantastic!!! Great guy!

Fun wine tasting tour to three wineries including a beautiful lunch. Our driver/tour director Alan was exceptional and made sure we got back to our cruise ship on time. Don’t hesitate to book with Cheeky they are the best!

This tour was canceled. I was not notified. I showed up to pickup point and was told by others at that point that the tour was canceled . I waited for 30 minutes and no tour guide arrived. Viator is refusing to reimburse me. Very disappointing. Very poor operation.

Unfortunately the tour was canceled for those of us on the cruise ship. Tour manager met us and said they would not be back in time to drop us at the ship. We are hoping for a refund from Viator.

Winery lovely, management poor job

The wine tour and lunch was 5*****, the management for our trip did a poor job. We had 16 people from our ship taking the tour. 8 people were told they needed to wait for the next van. We were told our pick up time was 8:30 and were picked up shortly after, then proceeded to drive around Christchurch making an additional 5 stops. The winery was about an hour drive but after all the stops we arrived in time at 11:00. We toured 3 wineries and had a lovely time with a great lunch. Now it is 3:00 and we have an hour back to our ship, not so…we have to drop someone off at the airport, then an additional 4 stops and we get back to the boat at 5:30. We did not plan on riding for 5 hours with someone who could not tell us about the sights or history of this community. I believe management should have had all the cruise passengers in one tour. Instead of a 9 hour day this should have been a 6 hour tour.

Unfortunately, our driver was not very experienced which led to some fear in our vehicle. We wish we would’ve learned more about the history from the tour guide, who really didn’t do anything more than greet us. The overall experience, however, was delightful based on the wineries explanations and sharing of tastings.

We had to reconfirm the pick up with the agency a day before the tour, the driver came on time. We were surprised that the wineries offered up to 10 tastings, when usually it is 3 or 4 in other places. The wines were wonderful, you can easily choose the ones you want to take home. The included lunch was alright, there was no choice of dishes, everyone was served a mixed plate, but the food was nice and fresh. Our driver Alan was great and super accommodating.

A very nice tour and an excellentguide/driver. We especially enjoyed the visit at one the first stop where the passionate winemaker, hes wife and their dog entertained our group. The next winery really did not have time or room for us and the third was big and commercial. We would love to participate in a tour composed of only the first type of wineries 🍷 ✨️ ❤️

Cramped and ignored

The tour was oversold and crowded compared to what the wineries could accomodate. Wineries dod not seem to know how many people were coming and were ill prepared…. everyone was cramped for tastings and on the bus which was really old and had no leg room. Tour guide knew nothing about wine, and spent first hour talking on headset with no volume… when louder had opinions and not facts…. did not intervene to fix issues at second winery for lunch when we were waiting so long for water that by the time it arrived the 19 of us had gotten up to leave. Avoid.

Wonderful wines and company

Great tour of three wineries with nearly twenty wines, all very different, and a nice lunch. Our guide, Brent, was punctual, professional, and engaging. Our party of five picked up one other guest who was with us for the day. Brent effortlessly had us form one happy group. Brent's knowledge of the area, the history, and the wine is extensive, and he's just plain fun. He kept us on schedule with a gentle nudge here and there. A very, very pleasant day, and a good value. Highly recommended. I would give Brent seven stars if I could! Five for the tour and an extra two for his avuncular style and, of course, the good weather ;)

Good excursion with prompt pick up from the cruise ship. Covered three wineries and a really nice lunch was included. Crystal was a great guide, knowledgeable and good fun.
