A day in Mt Cook

Mt Cook and the lakes are absolutely beautiful! I hiked the Hooker Valley trail and it’s well worth the trip. Beautiful place to visit. Joseph, our driver/guide was very good and informative. Long day but well worth it.
The tour was very rushed....

The tour was very rushed. The itinerary for Mount Cook stated that we will be there for 2.5 hours. However, the tour guide asked us to return in 2 hours itself given that the Hooker valley hike requires time. I had to rush back and ran all the way while returning from my hike.

Sorry to hear this. This tour does usually allow enough time for the hooker valley hike. Sometimes if there are issues in the morning with pickups (guests selecting the wrong location) it can cause delays for the rest of the day. We have moved the start time of this tour forward slightly to allow for more time in the day.

It was a beautiful trip! We especially enjoyed the hike to the Tasman Glacier. The tour provided a really good lunch and the tour guide was super! It was time and money well spent!

I cannot recommend this tour enough; there were many scenic stops and the lunch and snacks provided were delicious. You are given plenty of time at Aoraki Mount Cook National Park to explore; you can either relax and enjoy the views at the visitor’s center or do one of the hiking trails. It is a truly special experience, stunning scenery!

I did think the walk could be replaced with time at visitors centre and home sooner I did not like the walk near mount cook

This was a very organized tour and a very practical way to see Mt. Cook and the Lakes Tekapo and Tekaki for those of us without a car in NZ. Tony was amazing and very accommodating.
A great experience, long day, worth the effort.

A beautiful part of NZ, Bret was a wonderful guide. Well worth the trip and time to stop and take photos . Only problem was after walking the Hooker track at Mt Cook in the rain. Came back soaked to the skin and had to sit in wet clothes home - 5 hours. I suggest if rain is expected remind travellers like us to take a towel and change of clothes. No one’s fault, but a reminder would have been good.

13 hrs is quite a long time but it was worth it. i won’t be able to drive to see all those spots by myself. The guide Tony’s commentary of the attractions and towns were really helpful.

Mt Cook & Lake Tekapo tour was a highlight of our holiday. The weather wasn't great but we had an awesome time. Lake Tekapo was beautiful. When we arrived at Mt Cook we managed to walk to the second bridge which we were really pleased with. The views were stunning. Tony, our driver was very informative, a great driver and nothing was too hard for him. Your enjoyment, safety and comfort always came first.

Beautiful day trip out to Lake Tekapo and Mount Cook, we were very fortunate with clear blue skies! Wish I had more time to spend, but this tour was very good for someone like myself who was short on days on the south Island. Guide Brent was friendly very good at keeping to the schedule as to maximize our time in the park. Would highly recommend, thanks again!

Going to see the lakes & Mt Cook is a glorious day! The landscaping is breathtaking! Tony was an excellent guide/driver. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history and the nature of the area. The snacks and lunches were delicious. It is a long day from Christchurch, but well worth it!

Our guide Tony was exceptional! He was very knowledgable which provided great background on the sites we stopped at. The scenery was amazing from the drive there, to Mount Cook itself. Would highly recommend doing this if you can!
