Great tour to see the souk without being hassled by every hawker, and there’s a lot of them. Took us to a few shops that we actually wanted to see. The spice shop was amazing. The gold souk was crazy. Stopped for coffee, had sweets. It was great!

This tour was a great start to our trip to Dubai. We learned so much about the culture and the people. In addition, we got recommendations on where to eat and things to do for the rest of our trip. I would highly recommend this tour. We are a family with teens and everyone enjoyed it.

The tour guide didnt even bother to call us that he cancelled on us neither did the tour company have any information on him cancelling! We did the chasing not him which we found so rude and unprofessional. Ali Abbas was the tour guide. We were baking in the heat and took shelter at the nearest metro station. We rushed to get here cost us 2x taxi payments to get there and back for nothing. After waiting on hold suddenly the operator said the cancellation just came through and would refund us i told him to do it whilst i waited on this premium rate number! Refund done! You need to sort out your service, this was a private tour so more attention needs to be paid and pickup location wasn’t clear either, two locations mentioned! Never again wasted half our day in this baking heat!

Hard Trail of Old Dubai with an Emirates

Previsit acquintance of the guide is important and Kassim accommodate us to a tee. The visit was informative from social, cultural and architectural history. Places of interest were all within walking distance from on foot to boat ride, through the history of UAE establishment from the eyes and passion of the Emirates.Pity that it was a holiday -Muharram, for we could at least seep Emirates coffee or looking around within the internal spaces of the different residential traditional buildings. The visit of the wind tower and the understanding of how it works and where they are normally located in a home is an eye opener. Although quite sad that all old traditional spaces has been spruced up for tourism and lost its traditional lustre, the presence of this charming areas that support the conitinuum of the local businesses is good economics and social sustainability. We thank Karim for taking beyond his time to aquiant us with his home town and wish for more walking trips to meet real people that make the place.

Vibha was amazing! It was like strolling around with a friend. As she had lived in some of the areas in old Dubai, she really knew her stuff and was very informative and knew the secret tricks for where to go. Had an amazing time at the spice souks and got some wonderful things to take home. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to see Old Dubai and the souks. Very cultural experience.
