Cinque Terre was ok, but our Driver was a hero!

Sadly, the day of our trip it was very rainy and stormy, so the 5 lands weren't at their best for viewing etc.... However, our driver, Paoulo was Phenomenal! He was so pleasant to talk with and was an excellent driver. He quite literally saved our lives while driving on the freeway toward Cinque Terre! While answering tourist questions from us in the back of the car, he was still so alert that he swerved the car in the nick of time to mist a large piece of scaffolding that had been left right in the middle of the freeway. We were travelling at speed and would have been in serious trouble had Paoulo not been as attentive to his task as he was. The man is an absolute professional. After the maneuver he went right on answering our questions as if nothing had happened! He was also kind enough to not only recommend a great restaurant for diner but went ahead and called to make a reservation for us! P.S. This tour is largely customizable. They will pretty much take you wherever you want to go, as long as the timing is the same as the original tour, fyi! Ask for Paoulo!

A lovely day in Cinque Terre

Wonderful day trip! We made a brief stop in Pisa to begin our morning and grabbed coffee and a sandwich at a small stand outside the leaning tower before getting our must-have pics. Our guide, who was great and super informative, then took us to the train station where we hopped along to the different towns in Cinque Terre. All were beautiful. We grabbed a lovely lunch overlooking the water and had an incredible day exploring.

Beautiful Cinque Terre & Pisa

We went to Cinque Terre with a stop in Pisa on the way. Our driver Guiseppe was amazing!! Pisa was wonderful. Cinque Terre was extremely crowded and not so easy to navigate. We started in Riomaggiore but it’s definitely better to take the train to Monterosso and then work your way back by boat. The boat ride from Monterosso to La Spezia was almost 2 hours. Most of the villages while beautiful, look the same. The views from the boat were worth the trip.

Francisco was the perfect driver and tour guide! Very personable and provided us with just the right amount of info. As it is off season for Cinque Terre he recommended several additional spots including Porto Verre and Luca as well as Piazza Michelangelo at the top of the hill when returning to Florence. An absolutely wonderful experience. Highly recommend if you want to go at your own pace and be able to change things up! Grazie!

This was one of our favorite tours in Italy! My wife and I were running a little late meeting with our private tour guide and he patiently waited for us. He was very knowledgeable of the area and even helped us with photos at Pisa! We got an amazing photo thanks to him. Outstanding outing! Cinque terra is beautiful and our guide Leo was outstanding! Leo is extremely knowledgeable of the area and shared great information along our journey. You only need 30 mins in Pisa and then should head to Cinque Terra to enjoy swimming and the beauty.

Service was great. Our tour guide couls not have been any better! Only suggestion for improvement that I had is it would’ve been nice if someone, for the cost, could have been available to be with us as we went village to village through the northern Italy area.
