Confusing meeting place
Sandra_J, Apr 2024
It was kind of confusing getting our tickets from the meeting place. There was a group about to start. The rep gave us our tickets and said we could go on and get in line. Which line? There were about 4 different lines. We stopped and talked to an Accademia employee who directed us to the right line. Once inside, David and all the other art was amazing
David

It's worth it to see David and the prisoners. Buy tickets well in advance. It's a early busy season in Florence.
Do not book. Terrible.
Amy_C, Apr 2024
Do not book through Viator. Went three times to collect tickets. Was told the first two times that we had to come back as they were running behind. On the third time they had no tickets for our entry time. Wanted us to wait another two hours. Absolutely awful.
Efficient

Great option to see this on your own. Very nice to be able to browse without being tied to a tour group.
Statue of David
Lisa_D, Apr 2024
This was just a skip the line ticket to get in. No guides, no tour, and we had to figure out what to do once we were dumped inside. We met on the street our front and they threw us in. I would probably go with a different tour that had more details.
Skip the line is false advertising in this case

We did eventually get into the Accademia, which is why I gave 2 stars, but I think it's fair to say calling it "Skip the Line" is a scam. Another couple in our group complained about how long we were in line and the representative said "There is no skip the line." Really what they are selling you is a timed entry ticket and they may or may not actually have a ticket in their possession that day for the time you sign up for when you make the reservation. One lady who ended up in our group had book at 12:15 pm, showed up at that time, and they told her she had to wait until 1 pm. Then at 1 pm another customer was late and they told her they had to wait for the other people and bump everyone until 1:15. So already she was there an hour. . . . and then still had to wait in a long time.
The David Statue a Must see
GLORIA_F, Apr 2024
This was a bucket list item. The actual statue and museum was absolutely worth every penny. A must see!
Great tour guide
Leslie_D, Apr 2024
Martina was a fabulous tour guide! So knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the art, the history, and the city. Her passion about these things brought great energy to this amazing experience.
Not great
Klara_S, Apr 2024
We got in, but still had to queue for 45 min. The whole process of getting the tickets was pretty messy, one would expect it to be organised better since you’re paying double the normal entry price.
David was incredible
Alison_B, Apr 2024
Seeing David was just amazing and made the trip to Florence for me. This would have had 5 stars but unfortunately after finding the guide he sent me to totally the wrong queue and then I was told I haf the wrong time on my ticket so had to start again - not very helpful.
If you can only do one gallery, this is it.
Maria_S, Apr 2024
A stop you can’t miss when visiting Florence. The brilliance of Michelangelo’s David is worth the constant dance between ourselves and tourists who hurriedly browse and sigh when they can’t get in to take that photo anyone can get online. Take your time and enjoy the history so beautifully presented in print. Probably our favorite gallery.
Well worth the extra money spent
Marcia_D, Apr 2024
It was quite a warm day in Florence and was very glad you booked through Viator. There were several Viator representatives very close to the area and even had flags. A person could not miss them. I am thinking we waited 10-15 minutes once we joined the priority line.
Try to get on Martina’s tour.
David_A, Apr 2024
Our guide was Martina. She was fantastic. My daughter thought she was the best guide of all our tours in Italy. David is spectacular. Not to be missed.
Easy Entry to Accedemia Gallery
Lisa_M, Apr 2024
This was a great way to get into Accademia Gallery without standing in line forever. Seeing David is worthwhile!
Easy and smooth.
Amelia_V, Apr 2024
Easy to find the spot. Tickets were handed to us right on time. We got there 10 mins before as asked. There are alloted times, so be sure to be there on time.
Great experience.
John_B, Apr 2024
Skip the Line tickets were wonderful--went right to the front on a rainy morning which helped a lot.
They charge you more than double the ticket price and you still have to wait on the same line as everyone else
Janine_B, Apr 2024
The museum itself is nice. But buying this “experience” is not worth it. They title it “skip the line”, which is technically true. You skipped the line to buy tickets. But, then you have to wait on the same line as everyone else to get in. AND it costs more than DOUBLE THE PRICE!!! Tickets are €16 each. I paid €62 for my husband and I. There’s no reason for that price to be that high. Just go to the ticket box 1st thing in the morning if you plan on going later in the afternoon. Or go the day before to book. There will be no line.
A masterpiece
Jay_M, Apr 2024
Wonderful experience for anyone who enjoys art and gets excited seeing a masterpiece up close and personal. It really is something you need to see , it’s an amazing piece of work!
Scam
Mark_Y, Apr 2024
Every part of our interaction was shady and screamed scam--when we arrived 15 minutes prior to the meet time the "guide" stated that the museum had cancelled our tickets...then asked if we would come back at a later time or we could request a refund to which we said we would come back later. Then as we turn to leave the guide chases us and says everything was all good now and leads us through a crowd as a gentleman hands him 2 tickets, the "guide" then goes over to a group in the line and hands us off to a group leader that was not expecting us...will not use this service again.
Not a great experience
Linda_k, Apr 2024
Very rainy day, hard to find the 2 people who had the tickets (no signs, just had to ask people if they had the tickets). We walked in the rain over a half hour across town and when we got there, they claimed they had "technical difficulty" and didn't have our tickets. (Likely resold) They offered us tickets later in the day which caused us to miss another tour. Very frustrating experience. They did get us in at 3 when we returned.
