Fabulous guide on a 3-hour tour
Timothy_S, Apr 2024
We had a superb skip-the-line tour led by Gulia on a Sunday afternoon in late April. She focused her attention on our 8-year old boy, making a game out of finding important pieces of art by giving him a clue. She set him against his parents, which made it even more fun for him. It lasted approximately 3-hours and kept our son engaged the entire time. Gulia made sure we saw the most important pieces and was knowledgeable about everything, answering all our questions. Highly recommend if you want to enjoy your Uffizi experience with children in tow.
Give your kids this gift!

This was such a great tour for our family. Our guide was able to engage our 5 year old with games and fun stories. He really enjoyed it and a year later still talks about the secret passage that she’s showing him in the photo. She was super helpful, making sure we entered through a VIP entrance so our baby’s stroller could get to the elevator. It gave us parents a little time off from entertaining the kids. Worth it! Also, don’t forget to pick up a coloring book at the gift shop with the artworks discussed.
Art & competition for the win!
Robin_S, Dec 2023
We had a great tour with Martina, who was amazing. Art museums are not necessarily our boys go-to activity (see: sports) but she was very knowledgeable and kept them engaged with games, injecting a bit of competition into the day. They enjoyed it and learned a lot.
Great time for whole family
Christine_F, Sep 2023
Martina did a great job of helping us hit thr highlights of the Uffizi in an engaging and entertaining way that worked for our 10 & 12 year old, yet was informative and educational for adults alike. She had so much knowledge and was happy to share additional history and Florence recommendations as well. Highly recommend!
Families - don’t miss this!
Heather_B, Apr 2023
Ilaria was absolutely wonderful with the 5 kids in our group - ages 8, 9, 12, 12 and 12. I couldn’t recommend her more strongly. She kept all of us engaged and entertained. The kids loved it! We had been to the museums in Paris with a guide before this, and they didn’t come close to connecting with the kids in the way that Ilaria did. Thank you!
Wonderful experience. Highly recommend.
Mathew_J, Apr 2023
Tour guide was amazing. Never thought my 10 year old would last the tour but we all learned a ton and had a blast. They didn’t want to leave the museum.
Brought Uffizi to life for 8 & 12 Yr Old
Danielle_D, Apr 2023
Highly recommend this tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, interesting and highly engaging. Our 8 & 12 year old daughters who expressed no interest in visiting a “boring” art museum loved it.
Martina was amazing!
Julia_D, Mar 2023
We did a number of other “kid friendly” gallery tours on this Europe trip and they all sucked except for this one. Martina was knowledgeable, engaging and spoke at the children’s level. We all learned a lot and enjoyed ourselves!
Captivating Uffizi tour for all the family
Claire_R, Nov 2022
We had a very interesting tour with Giulia. We were a group of four adults (some whom had been to the Uffizi before) and two 9 year olds. Giulia was full of very interesting facts which kept us all captivated. She ran a little quiz between adults and children which grabbed the all our attention throughout. We highly recommend this tour and Giulia. Thank you so much
Fantastic family friendly informative tour
Bhavisha_K, Aug 2022
This was absolutely brilliant. Our Guide Martina was very informative whilst also making the tour very fun for the children. They won the “competition” by answering more questions correctly than the adults and matching the game better! We all learnt a lot and really enjoyed this wonderful experience. It was the highlight of our trip in Florence!
Essential with young kids
Haley_B, Apr 2022
Great overview of the key pieces for us and our six year old daughter learned a few things too. She was successfully engaged for most of the tour. Our guide was very nice and easy going.
Art tour for all ages
Kimberly_M, Oct 2021
To understand the history of the Uffizzi, the Medicis, and the amazing collection of the most famous pieces of art with a knowledgable guide was a must. There is so much more to know about art than a layperson can see and Guilia had us enthralled with her explanations. She kept our 3 boys interested with games, scavenger hunts, and a challenge between kids and parents that kept the scores close enough so the boys stayed competitive. Art appreciation takes patience and time, and Guilia expertly gave the tour in a way that provided for both. We bought the boys a masters of art colouring book in the gift shop on the way out of the Uffizzi and they (ages 9,10,13) recognise so many pieces-a pretty impressive amount of interest and recall obtained from our tour. Credit goes to Guilia!
Great tour for kids.

Great guide and kept the kids entertained. Giovanna was informative and entertaining. would recommend
Miscommunication
Jesse_K, Jan 2020
Our guide Rachele was great - upbeat, energetic and knowledgable. The communication, however, between Viator and the local tour operator was very poor- An hour before our tour, despite the fact we had several ticket confirmations and tickets via email, we called to confirm our guide and not only were there no skip the line tickets reserved for us, but also no guide reserved. The local tour operator did a great job arranging everything at the last minute but they said they never received viator's request for the tickets and guide. It was stressful and I missed lunch with my family trying to fix the mess.
Best tour of our trip!
Kate_W, Dec 2019
Our guide was very engaging and informative for all ages. Our guide not only explained the art itself but the periods as well which gave us a better understanding. Highly recommend!
A no-brainer to families with kids!
CANDELA_M, Nov 2019
Giovanna was friendly, professional and patient with our kids (4 and 7) and, on the other hand, she explained the most important masterpieces to all the family. Completely recommended if you want to enjoy your visit to the Uffizi and you have kids. PS: for Spanish people, Giovanna speaks Spanish perfectly ;)
Childrens guided tour Uffizi
rafterspj14, Oct 2019
Our family group of 4 adults and 6 children ( of ages 4 - 11) were all kept interested and involved by our wonderful guide Joanna. We adults also learnt a few things too! Thoroughly recommended as a great way to start childrens interest in the history of art.
Awesome tour guide.
Beatriz_S, Aug 2019
This is the best museum tour I've taken since I'm a kid. There was a scavenger, which kept my teen interested. The tour was interesting for adults too.
Uffizi for young kids? Yes!
Samanta852, Aug 2019
Giovanna was our wonderful guide for the morning and we have a 4-year-old and a 6-year-old. Not only did she keep them occupied for the whole 2.5 hours, us adults also learnt something new (and this is our 4th visit!)
A little pricey but well worth it
RULIANG_L, Jul 2019
A tour tailored for kids. Our guide Giovanna was super friendly and attentive to my twin boys (~10 yo) from the very beginning, warming them up for an otherwise would have been boring tour. She explained the paintings and their history in a easy to understand yet comprehensive way, with points given for correctly answering questions, keeping their interest level up for the 2.5 hour tour. My boys, and even mom and I, learned a great deal. It was a great tour.
