The perfect day out for any occasion

We couldn't have wished for a nicer day. Beautiful clear blue sky, temperature a comfortable 20 degrees and calm waters. The cruise from Hobart to Peppermint Bay was fantastic with magnificent views along the Derwent River and along the d'Entrecasteaux Channel enjoying a couple of glasses of sparkling wine. The lunch at Peppermint Bay was outstanding. Delicious, plated beautifully and very generous servings. The staff were friendly, outgoing and all excellent. We saw a couple of seals on the way down but no dolphins or whales this time. When we arrived back in Hobart I realized to my horror that I'd left my glasses at the restaurant. I went to speak to the staff to get a contact number to ring only to discover the staff had spotted my glasses and brought them onto the boat and kept them safe until I came looking for them. A fortunate end to a perfect day

A great way to see Hobart from the bay. The boat is very comfortable & the huge windows make it very easy to see the sights. Peppermint Bay is a beautiful location to sit back & enjoy a delicious lunch with a truly great view. It's worth travelling to just for the meal & wine alone but the boat trip makes the day even more enjoyable!

Fantastic view of coastline, great explanations from the captain, the staff were very friendly and provided excellent service both on the catamaran and at the Peppermint Bay restaurant. Extremely beautiful area with plush green surroundings. Made friends from other parts of the world and states of Australia. The food was amazing coul not fault the day or trip.

The skipper and crew were very knowledgeable and were great with serving also. However the food was a let down. If you're a foodie, I'm sure it would be grear however not having a choice on what we are eating is not great. Also when you have a 2 year old, 2 and a half hours waiting for all the food is a bit much when there is nothing for them to do.

A lovely cruise fown to the hotel where we had 3 entrees, main and dessert.. plus the most delicious nuts ever. Time to wander thru Woodbridge then back to Hobart. A thoroughly delightful day.

The cruise was the highlight of our trip to Tasmania, its a great way to experience the coast enjoyed the Captains commentary and we were lucky enough to see dolphins and sleeping seals.The fresh produce, professional and friendly staff were fantastic.So much to see and do in Tasmania will certainly do this tour again the next time we go. Thank you!

Beautiful, comfortable vessel. Outstanding views of Hobart, shoreline, and Bruny Island. Lunch was fantastic and timed perfectly. Restaurant is modern and beautiful. It doesn't take all day, leaving plenty of time to do other things in the morning and afternoon. Well worth the price.

The Peppermint Bay lunch cruise is a MUST. Weather wise our day was not perfect as it rained a bit off and on however, the water was calm which made for a very pleasant journey. The Captain was very informative of the sights we were seeing and had a great wealth of knowledge of Hobart and its surrounds. All the crew were very friendly and could not do enough for us which made our trip all that much more enjoyable. The Peppermint Bay multi-function establishment is very modern and provided a great vista of the water and surrounds while we ate the most magnificent 5 course lunch. We strongly suggest you don't go overboard with breakfast because lunch will certainly see you replete in no time. With great wines and beers to choose from to accompany your lunch at additional cost you will be able to sit back, savour the food that is served and enjoy your surroundings for as long as you like before the boat departs that is. If you feel the need to walk off some of the lunch, the small town about 50 steps out of the venue is worth a look through before heading back to the boat for the quick trip home. All in all, a fantastic trip and one we will be recommending to anyone who asks what to do in Hobart.

We went on the Peppermint Bay tour which was really great - except the Sun Princess decided to leave at 3pm instead of 5pm. We realised when we were on this tour that we would miss the ships departure. Shock!! The people at the Peppermint Bay hotel were so helpful, they rang a taxi for us and gave us part of the dinner plus a refund, The taxi cost 100 but at least we managed to get to the ship on time.
