Best Tour

Mark was an incredible tour guide. Filled with knowledge of Tasmania and across the world. We packed in the day with many sights. The bus was comfortable too
Rainy

The guide was very helpful and accommodating. It rained all day and was not enjoyable. He made the best of it for us.
Great tour

We had a great time on our tour! The Bonorong Sanctuary was amazing! Feeding kangaroos and observing them hop around was a highlight of the tour! We also enjoyed Mount Wellington although from the top it was really cloudy, we were able to see a good section when the clouds broke! We highly recommend this tour while visiting Hobart!
Main sights in Hobart

Andrew was awesome. We got to see a lot of Hobart and our guide was very knowledgeable and flexible to allow us to see what we wanted to see.
Money worth it value

This was an amazing experience with Tassie Tours. We were picked up at Terminal and meet our tour guide Simon who was friendly and chatty bloke. As we drove to our destinations Simon gave wonderful insight on his knowledge of Hobart. We just didn't go to the 5 places on the list as Simon drove around Hobart's streets and showed many sights that would of been fantastic to visit if time allowed but thrilled we got to experience the sights. Simon gave us plenty of time at each destination and we never felt rushed throughout the day. Would highly recommend this company and would use them again for a tour of Tassie. Thankyou ❤️

Simon, our tour guide, made our tour a trip to remember. His local knowledge, willingness to accomodate the interests of the participants and sufficient timing, meant that we had an informative tour, a balance of historic and current life in and around Hobart, and ensured that we were back onboard the cruise liner in time for sailing.
So knowledgeable and understanding.

Our tour guide was awesome, so knowledgeable and understanding. Took the time to ensure we understood what he was sharing. A very personable and enjoyable person who loves his job.
Great Hobart Tour
Norma_M, Feb 2024
I would recommend Tassie Tours. Our tour of Hobart today was great. It was easy to find the pickup place. The driver was very nice and accommodating. She arranged the schedule so that we were able to see the sights in the best order saving the mountain top for later in the day when it would be warmer. Definitely a great day and tour.
Great Driver. Very informative tour.

Was a great trip well worth the money. We had Andrew as our driver and he was very experienced and knowledgeable. He took us first to the animal sanctuary which was GREAT. He then took us to Richmond and during the drive there he filled us on all of the things to see in the country. The stop in that town was an unexpected surprise. We finished our day with a white knuckle drive up to Mt. Wellington where the views are amazing. Well worth the money. Only room for improvement was Tassue Tours having better signage earlier at pick up point
Small Group Hobart Excursion.
dad4jc, Feb 2024
Our tour guide Mark was wonderful and very knowledgeable about Hobart, Tasmania and Australia. He made sure each person on our small group excursion had their questions answered.
Disappointing
Sherri_E, Feb 2024
Our tour guide didn’t talk very much, but his trainee was chatting in the back of the bus with a few guests which was disruptive. We asked the main guide to talk more and he appeared annoyed. The bus was hot, we spent over an hour circling the city and would have preferred to get off and have free time to explore.

Ample amount of time at the animal sanctuary. Richmond was just okay. We were not able to see anything at Mount Wellington as the clouds were low that time of the day. If we visited this first, it would've been different. Maybe better plan the time of the day to visit the attractions rather than sticking to a schedule, so guests get to experience and see what they booked.

Andrew was Awesome
Louise_L, Jan 2024
We thoroughly enjoyed our shore tour with Tassie Tours. A small group of 8 made it simple to get in and out at places of interest. Andrew gave us a great drive around explaining current and historic info along the way. We definitely would choose this company again.
Great tour

Mark our tour guide was so knowledgeable and friendly and ensure all of us get to see as much as Hobart as possible! Definitely a great tour
Great Day Out
Sharon_C, Dec 2023
We were picked up promptly at the Cruise Terminal by Tassie Tours. Our driver, Mark was very knowledgeable and interacted with the passengers during the day. The whole day was great. My Wellington and Richmond were the highlight. Booroong wild like Park was disappointing at least for an Australian. The overseas visitors loved it and they could get close to a kangaroos. Would definitely use Tassie Tours again
Make sure you verify your full itinerary with the guide at the start
Chan_M, Dec 2023
What we liked: 1. Visits to Mt Wellington and Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary 2. Our guide, Mark, doing his best to engage with individual tour participants, and his engaging manner of telling stories about the Tasmanian Tiger and Tasman Bridge Disaster. What surprised us: Our guide, Mark, was unfamiliar with our itinerary. We had signed up for the Hobart Highlights which included visit to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, but he thought he would be dropping us back at the cruise terminal after our lunch at Richmond. This led to the tour lasting longer than anticipated and him cutting it close (and hence creating unnecessary anxiety for us) to getting us back to the cruise on time. Tassie Tours can do a better job of training their guides more professionally. What I did not like: i. Mark speaking using his wife for sexist humour, sometimes unfavorably. ii. Mark not admitting or apologizing for his own error in getting the Bonorong itinerary wrong for several groups of participants and labelling us as being overly anxious about getting back to our cruise on time.
Great tour at a great price
DoranandCheryl_C, Apr 2023
This was a great tour. Mark was our guide and he was very knowledgeable in all things Hobart and Australia. But he was also knowledgeable about areas where his guests were from. He had information on news, geography and sports around where his guests lived. He had a great sense of humour. He had a unique way of explaining what we were seeing as well as telling us about the history. He made it sound like he was telling us a story. We drove through Hobart seeing highlights as well as the different neighbourhoods as we headed to the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Here we petted kangaroos and saw Tasmanian devils, wombats, emus. There were other animals that did not make an appearance from their homes. Then we drove through more Hobart neighbourhoods on our way to Richmond Village. We had 90 minutes of free time to look around the historic village at the rustic buildings, have lunch a drink or some ice cream or chocolate. The village had many of the oldest things such as the oldest jail, oldest pharmacy, oldest bridge in Australia. We had the obligatory stop at a business. In this case it was a cheese factory/store. Then we headed to Mount Wellington and had a fantastic view of Hobart, the harbour and the surrounding area. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone that wanted a little of everything.
Tasmania Was Great!
