IMPORTANT: The pick up time of your tour may vary between 630-1030am, depending on the departure time of the boat to the USS Arizona. DanielsHawaii Customer Service will coordinate the exact pick up time with you. Your flexibility is appreciated. Minimum of 4 Guests per Tour required. If under minimum and you can not reschedule you receive a refund.

- Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, the Navy may suspend boat operations to the USS Arizona Memorial at any time or impose a capacity restriction on the boats. In such cases, there will be no refunds. You can still enjoy USS Arizona exhibits, the Visitors’ Center and park monuments as well as the Honolulu City Tour. The duration of the tour stays the same!
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

This was a wonderful tour, our guide Christine was right on time to pick us up at our hotel. Kristine made sure everybody knew the history of Honolulu. I didn’t know that it started off with Monarchy. She told us about the and how they took over, we saw the palace, And the statues of the king. Christine was so informative. We made our way over to Pearl Harbor, which was very humbling and so interesting, but very sad. We saw the oil coming up from the ship that has been in the ocean since 1941.. Memorial and the pieces of the Arizona that was destroyed on that terrible day. Then we made our way To the aloha, which Christine explained lights up in different colors every night . The group was small, and the van was a beautiful Mercedes van, which was extremely comfortable and extremely clean. Christine made the tour so enjoyable. She made sure she answered everyone’s questions and you could tell her passionate she was about showing us the history. We definitely recommend this tour. Ask for Christine to be your guide.

Matthew ! Excellent tour guide.. he knows Hawaii and all the little history tidbits.. he was very accommodating to every passenger especially one in our group who struggled on and out of van, such a kind and humorous guide! I would highly recommend this tour

I have used Viator for 15 years now and recommend so many people to use Viator for all of their tours however this was my first awful experience with a so called tour guide . We were looking forward to a great day seeing Pearl Harbor and the short stop at a beautiful palace on the way back to the hotel. After Pearl Harbor we went to se the submarine , we paid for that separately also the Missouri is another charge also not included , your tour guide is just a driver as she drops off at the memorial and you meet her a few hours later at the parking lot. She then took us to the palace and proceeded to America shame us for 20 minutes about what America did her land (Hawaii) and that Hawaii is technically and legally not really part of America and that we slaughtered her people and stole Hawaii. We also got to hear her family drama on the way to and from the memorial! Including but not limited to her parents divorce, her Sicilian mother not coming to her kids elder day at Hawaiian school. Her dad’s only coming because he works for an airlines so he can fly free as he lives in Ohio or something. Oh Her baby daddy is a Samoa and she’s 13 weeks pregnant and only took this job so she can tell us the truth about Hawaii history and what really happened with America. Ummm incidently the pick up location for this tour was at the bus depot at the Haley Koa military resort !!!! We are a military and police family!!! Just get a taxi to take you to the memorial Do not book this tour ! I’m so disappointed with Viator that I booked the rest of my tours through the hotel .

Quick correction: Your Hotel is named HALE KOA, meaning "House of the Warrior".

Our Guides are well trained in American and Hawaiian history and the narration is based on historic facts.
We understand you didn't like the part of American History where US Businessmen overthrew the Hawaiian Monarchy and the US annexed Hawaii. Unfortunately we can't change history. Mahalo for your sympathy with the Hawaiians though.
If you remember as much about the history your guide taught about Pearl Harbor, the USS Arizona the Hawaiian Monarchy and Hawaiian Culture as you remember of the guides answers to personal questions, we have done our job!

Vary unsatisfactory tour. Guide was careless, leaving our possessions unsecured after promising to safeguard them, and late returning to the van. She was a radical Polynesian activist, bitter at the USA ,and spoiled the tour with political rhetoric and false information, all spoken nonstop in a loud and abrasive tone. The city tour was boring and a waste of time. I do not recommend this tour or it's operator.

I am not a fan of blackmail and therefore I rather deal with a bad review and it's consequences than letting you or anybody else blackmail me, my team or my company.
Now for everybody reading this, I am happy to explain the allegations in this creative One Star Review:
Martin Greenblatt wanted to be picked up at the cruise ship harbor. As mentioned in the tour description, there is a surcharge. Please read on to find out why...
Martin Greenblatt came on tour with us, was late for every pick up and held up the group, was rude to the guide and tipped $3 (mahalo :)).
At the end of the tour the guide asked him to pay the surcharge for the harbor pickup and got the response "No, we don't want to pay for it. The harbor is on the way to Pearl Harbor".
1. Why Surcharge
The surcharge for the habor pickup has very little to do with the distance we drive. The Department of Transportation Harbors Division charges Tour Companies for the option to pick up at the Piers.
The surcharge helps...
- to offset the cost DanielsHawaii pays for the permit to be able to pick up right in front of the terminal for your convenience.
- to cover the extra time for the extra stop at the busy harbor (thousands of people leave the ship at the same time and it can get chaotic at times).
2. Your possessions
Nothing is ever left "unsecured" or unattended. The guide and the rest of the group were already waiting for you next to the van for about 10 minutes when you showed up after the Pearl Harbor visit.
3. Radical Polynesian Activist
We educate everybody on our tours about Hawaiian history and the overthrow of the Hawaiian Monarchy. This has nothing to do with radical views. Our guides are passionate educators about Hawaii, Pearl Harbor and our rich State History - just as passionate as you are about writing this review. I personally wouldn't call you an activist for your accusations though.
4. False Information
All the information given on our tours are based on facts. Sorry, the truth hurts sometimes. You might have alternative facts that you like better, but it is not our job to guess. Maybe next time only go on tours that educate about history you like and agree with :)
5. Loud Guide
It is important to us that everybody in the group can hear the guide loud and clear, because he or she provides important information.
You could have stood further away from the guide if it was too loud for you ;)
The historic facts would not have changed though, so you would have still hated it.
5. City Tour is special
The walking tour through Downtown past Iolani Palace, King Kamehameha Statue, Aloha Tower, the Capitol, the Eternal Flame, the father Damian Statue and the Queen Liliuokalani Statue is what makes our tour stand out and even more special and unique than it already is. Other tour companies only drive past these locations whereas we actually walk past so you can take great pictures and learn more about Hawaii.
It is sad to read you don't care about the places and cultures you visit.

Matt was an exceptional tour guide!!! He was genuinely enthused and gave us a ton of information. Guests had random questions and he had all the answers. Felt like we were hanging out with friends the whole time!! Very pleasant and comfortable experience!!

The process is correct.
You booked your tour through Viator / TripAdvisor.
Viator / TripAdvisor collected your payment, meaning they have your money and they have your payment information.
If you would have booked directly through DanielsHawaii, we could have refunded you immediately.
Viator / TripAdvisor usually calls the tour operator a few hours after your refund request to confirm. After the confirmation it should take only a few days until the money is back in your bank account.
