This is an excellent tour; very informative tour of Soweto and Mandela House, and the apartheid museum is very good, too. We learned so much of South Africa’s history. Our guide, Bobo, and our driver were both wonderful!

Excellent tour. Great communication and on time pick-up. Apartheid Museum was closed so Convention Hill was substituted - an even better experience. Well paced and full of details as we drove through Johannesburg and into Soweto. Lunch buffet of African food followed by a visit to Pieterson Memorial before heading back. Ended up being almost a 7 hour tour.

This tour was informative, eye opening and wonderful. Our guide let us have some extra time at a local restaurant in Soweto which was our highlight bc the food was so great! It was amazing learning the history of Soweto and its uprisings. The history of Nelson Mandela was enlightening. Over all this tour is a must.

Pleasant half day tour of Johannesburg

As described. Everything was done as expected. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. Passionate about the history. The tour was slightly late due to another traveler but they managed to catch up the lost time and it drops us off at the time as described. Would recommend people to do this tour if they only have half a day in Johannesburg.

Excellent! Our visit to Constitution Hill (in lieu of Apartheid Museum) was informative and well paced. Our travels through Soweto including Nelson Mandela house were personal and highly educational. We had lunch in Soweto and ate local foods. Nathi was an excellent guide.

Great tour but expect to be out all day

First let me say that I would have given this tour 5 stars (certainly our guide Natti is a 5) but this was described as a half day tour and it end up being all day. The Apartheid museum was closed (its always closed on Monday & Tuesday). We went to Constitution Hill which was enlightening (and scary to think what they did) and to the Hector Pieterson museum in Soweto. We also stopped for lunch in Soweto for some local cuisine. This is definitely an enlightening and worthwhile tour.

Hello Willem, thank you very much for your feedback but what we listed on our page in TripAdvisor and viator is what we offered you, and you can't expecting us to take you to unsafe places like( shanty town or ghetto) . We done it before but one of the clients wrote a review that we took them to where people are begging them for money and where peope are smelling. This is not a shanty town or ghetto tour, this is about South Africa history, that was the reason we gave you two hours in the Apartheid Museum. SO YOUR SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY.

The history lesson was so informative and the guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. This was an awesome tour. Very disappointed we wasn’t informed the Apartheid museum was closed on Monday and Tuesday we should have been informed.

Clement is an exceptionally energetic and passionate guide. However, the choice of stops for photos, particularly at the Orlando Towers, is not ideal due to the obstructed view from the power lines being too close. A more distant photo spot would enhance the experience. Additionally, I recommend being more proactive with communication. With the delays in pick up, I believe the host should reach out when it’s past the pick up time rather than the customer having to fish for the information. Nevertheless, the day is decently organized, and the overall value is present.

Hello Dawit, Thank you very much for your feedback. But we want you to understand that the delay of picking you up was other clients that Clement was supposed to pick up before he arrived at your hotel. The way we reminded everyone a day before the tour date, we reminded this group, and they didn't say that they would be late or explain to them that they were flying in to the country. Clement arrived to their hotel and he called the office and he said he cannot see them, so when we called them we were told by them that they just arrived at airport and immediately i notified you about this issue and and this was your reply........."No worries at all, I appreciate the communication and update. I understand that customer service is an art, and I appreciate your efforts. " immediately, we asked Clement to drive to your hotel and continue the tour with you, and he did So it's surprising that you can still write about this after when we discussed this. Also, about Soweto Towers. Soweto Towers are not part of the itinerary, but we do normally try our possible best to meet the needs of all our clients. Where Clement stopped for photos, he knew that it was a convenient and safe place for you, but we can't remove power lines because Mr Dawit wants to take pictures. Anyway, thanks for the review

We saw a lot and learned a lot but it was much longer than a half day so we were exhausted by the end of it. The guides were very informative and happy to answer all of our questions. You couldn't do this tour on your own.
