Passengers must be 10yrs old or older to participate on the Doors Off flight. Only passengers 16 years old and older can be on an outside/edge seat.
Any passenger exceeding 230lbs or two passenger combined over 400lbs must purchase a comfort seat. This is an additional seat for comfort and safety.
This also applies to ANY single passenger weighing 250lbs or more no matter what the combined weight with others is. This is for the safety and comfort of all passengers.
Tennis Shoes must be worn, no flip flops are allowed on board of the aircraft

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.

This experience was really once in a lifetime! Getting to see the Napali coastline and the Waimea canyon was unlike anything else. Adam was an excellent pilot/tour guide/MC/videographer. I highly recommend a "doors off" ride. With no windows in the way I was quite literally on the edge of my seat for the entire flight. Some of the views will surely be in my dreams for many years to come. While on Kauai we also hiked Waimea (the black pipe loop) and took an incredible boat tour (Makana charters) and each offered a unique view and experience. 10/10 just go for it. Mahalo

Amazing breathtaking experience. Highlight of our Hawaiian vacation. Staff was awesome and accommodating. We arrived early due to possible rain. They graciously took us 45 min early. Pilot was very knowledgeable and told us ahead of time if it would be bumpy (it was a few times). Pictures don’t do it justice! Thank you for an amazing experience.

This was our favorite part of our trip to the islands and we did a lot! Reading the reviews got me a little nervous but I was able to sit on the inside and the braver of our group sat on the outside. They said they felt safe. Also we were given a photo opp with our cell phones and we were only asked if we wanted to purchase the flight video. It was no pressure to purchase things and we felt we had gotten great videos and photos from our own thing. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Captain Steve was just wonderful. I can’t recommend this enough and this was way outside of my comfort zone.

Wow! What an experience!!! Our doors off tour couldn't have been any better. From start to finish, I felt safe and informed by the crew and pilot. The view are breathtaking and it was a once-in-a-lifetime ride. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see Kauai from the air.

Seeing the Napali coast. Was disappointed though with being so squished in the middle seat that I pretty much had to sit sideways and only look one direction the entire trip for the cost. Size should be considered more. Also a little bummed that we didn't even get the already printed picture without added cost.

Steve was a fantastic helicopter captain, the smoothest ride I’ve ever had and it was super windy!! The views were amazing even with a slight overcast and Steve made sure everyone got a first class view by flying by the major silted with both sides of the copter. Highly recommended, plus you’ll see parts of the island that isn’t accessible any other way! A must do.

Amazing! Kauai is so beautiful and this was the best way to see most of the island. We felt completely safe and secure the whole time. It was kind of chilly so I would recommend long pants and FOR SURE put your hair up if you can! Our pilot, Steve, was fantastic and it was such a smooth ride. I highly recommend Air Kauai!!

One of the best life time experiences. Staff is very helpful & professional. Kelby was our pilot who was very friendly and informed us every step along the way. Jurassic Park Falls (can't remember real name), Napali Coast , Hanalei beach and Waimea Canyons were my most favorite. Whole island is lush green. Worth the money, long as you're fine with some wind, rain/mist, not afraid of heights & don't get motion sickness. Actually the helicopter ride is smoother than a plane.

They pack too many people in for it to be comfortable and with the doors off the edge seats have nothing to brace them in place besides a seatbelt, I felt insecure the entire flight and hated it. If you’re taking photos you need two hands because of the wind, but you need that second hand to keep you from falling out of the helicopter.

I recently took the Air Kauai Helicopter Tour, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Here are the key issues I encountered: Misleading Flight Duration: The tour was advertised as a 1-hour flight. However, I timed the flight from takeoff to landing, and it was only 39 minutes. This is significantly shorter than promised, approximately 33% off the advertised duration. Excessive Waiting Time: We were asked to arrive at 7:15 AM for an 8:00 AM flight. Yet, we ended up waiting for more than 30 minutes before the briefing even started. This felt like a waste of time and a poor organization on their part. Understaffed Operations: The tour seemed severely understaffed. After landing, we had to wait for an additional 40 minutes to be transferred back to the terminal. This delay contributed to an overall sense of disorganization and inefficiency. Restricted Photography and Overpriced Souvenirs: Before takeoff, the staff took pictures of us in front of the helicopter but did not provide an opportunity for us to take our own photos. Upon returning to the terminal, they attempted to sell these pictures for an exorbitant price of $90. This felt like an exploitative practice, especially considering the lack of personal photography options during the tour.
