Kauai’s Fern Grotto is a fern-covered lava cave on the south fork of the Wailua River. Once off-limits to all but Hawaiian royalty, the Fern Grotto is now accessible to visitors, but only by boat. The grotto acts like an amphitheatre, and musicians are drawn to the site for its incredible natural acoustics.

Beautiful scenery!
Our tour made a stop to biew the river and nearby waterfall in the way to the river cruise. Took River cruise to fern grotto and Viewed the beautiful fern grotto while being serenaded by Hawaiian women. Memorable and lovely. On the way back we learned a hula dance and we’re entertained by local Hawaiian women.

Great tour
The view of the Wailua River was spectacular. Our tour driver Leon was informative & friendly. Beautiful flowers & trees on the way to the Fern Grotto.
