the place to visit is a must but make sure you're guide is english and not french as we couldn't understand a word she said also check your pick up it's not your hotel it's the Auschwitz carpark we had to pay extra for hotel pick up

Terrible would not go through Viator again

Auschwitz is definitely a place to visit, however don't book through Viator, We booked two day trips with these one of them with lunch and on the first trip they changed the time which we booked for 10am and they changed it to 11.50, the driver from royal tours was good though, although lunch will give a miss next time as not very nice, the second tour was for Schindler's Factory and did not receive any tickets(nor did another couple from United kingdom aswell) so we all had to purchase second entry tickets to the museum, we requested a refund to no avail, very poor show, very poor company and by the way the tickets are cheaper on the door (half the price) than paying through Viator as there is no line to skip on any day you just walk in and get your ticket, so paying the extra is pointless.

I would like to ask you to remove this unfair review. You bought with us ONLY Auschwitz Museum tour. We (Royal Tours) are not selling Schindler's Factory tickets. So the second part of your review do not apply us. Thank you in advance. Michal.

Time change

They changed the timing of the tour from 0900 to 1300 for a 6-7 hour trip the day before so we were not able to go, very disappointing,

An amazing ,emotional and unforgettable experience

This experience was unforgettable ! The tour was very organised and the guide was excellent with so much knowledge of those terrible days . The only criticism would be is that it was a very long way to walk and we found it difficult to keep up the pace from one particular place to another The guide would start talking before we were all assembled , which was rather rushed . Also the guide needs to speak much louder so everyone in the group can hear we were also plagued with heavy rain which is nobody’s fault but unfortunate An unforgettable experience

From start to finish the whole day went smoothly. The driver and tour rep were helpful, friendly and so efficient. The experience itself was incredibly sad and humbling but a must visit.

Royal Tours were very organised, with clear communication and prompt arrival at the meet location. Marcin our tour guide had a wealth of knowledge and demonstrated such wonderful compassion and empathy for the human life lost in this place. An emotional experience, but I would recommend Royal Tours to take you through it.

We had Evalina a a guide and she was just brilliant. She treated the tour with the reverence and dignity it needed. It was an emotive and sombre visit and she imparted the information with the suitable tone and impact the entire day deserved. A brilliant tour guide for Auschwitz 1 and 2. Thanks so much.

Do not use

I would use a different company this trip. Nowhere in the listing didn’t say transportation was not provided without paying an extra fee. The listing also said that lunch was provided. Other people got their lunch right when they got on the shuttle which was 12 PM and we did not get her food until I asked for it, which ended up being around 5 PM.

Excellent tour guides and planning for Auschwitz

The tour was excellent, considering the emotional subject matter. The best part were the tour guide and driver. Our driver, Peter, arrived right on time (our tour time and pickup were moved back an hour but I was notified the night before) and the minivan was very comfortable with only 3 passengers (joined larger group when we arrived at Auschwitz). Once we arrived at the site, our English speaking tour guide, Magdalena, joined us and spent the rest of the afternoon walking us around and telling us the history of Auschwitz and the horrible events that took place there. She was fantastic...full of knowledge, very pleasant and spoke excellent English. Our tour group was about 20 persons so very manageable. Everything was planned well, and our drive back was again very comfortable with Peter being an excellent driver. I would recommend this tour and especially Peter and Magdalena.

Great trip would not recommend packed lunch stale bread and tree most of it away!

We weren't picked up at our hotel and we weren't put on a smaller bus like we'd booked. The tour once we got to the camps was really good but the guide on our coach barely said a word.

I am very sorry to hear that. But as I know you were picked up at the hotel by our employee Alex. He walked with you to a closest place where our bus could park - 300 meters. Unfortunately the hotel you booked has no parking for buses. At the bus there were no guide at all. All guides are employs of Auschwitz Museum. Only tour leader traveled with you. His job is to take care of all technical apsectsb of the tour. He is not a guide. From my side I would like to say sorry that the tour didn't meet your expectations.

Seeing the hundreds of shoes and prosthetics in a huge pile with the little baby shoes was heartbreaking also the pile of human hair that was used to make uniforms for the German officers

The tour to Auschwitz-Birkenau was very informative but the tour guide we had talked way too fast. I am American so am an English speaker and even I had a hard time understanding her because of how fast she talked. I know that many others in our tour group understand English but their native tongue is another language so had a very difficult time understanding the guide. Also, the tour was very rushed. We also had a bag lunch but didn't understand that there wouldn't be any time to eat it. We had to quickly gobble it down in five minutes, between the tour of both Auschwitz and Birkenau.

I am very sorry to hear that. Unfortunately guides are hired by the Museum. We (tour organizer) can't hire our own guides at the Auschwitz Museum. We will send your feedback to the Museum. This is the only we can do to improve quality of the tours.

Ble plukket opp som avtalt og fraktet trygt frem til destinasjonen i minibuss. Der ble vi møtt av en hyggelig og god tolk. En viktig historie å få med seg. Ville anbefalt å tatt med egen lunsj da lunsjpakken ikke var noe å skryte av ! To doble loff med skinke og salat, en liten sjokolade, et eple, en banan og en flaske vann.
