What To Expect

Meet your guide in Krakow’s Main Market Square in time for a 2pm departure and set out to explore the city’s UNESCO-listed Old Town.

Follow your guide down the Royal Route, and walk in the footsteps of the Polish Kings as you hear about Krakow’s stint as the royal capital. Pause to see historic landmarks such as St. Florian's Church, and admire the grand medieval buildings along Floriańska, Grodzka, and Kanonicza Streets.

Arrive at Wawel Castle and spend time exploring the magnificent castle complex, including the Cathedral, the Royal Chambers, and the Armory. Marvel at the Medieval, Romanesque, Renaissance, and Baroque architectural styles, and take in the views from the top of Wawel Hill, gazing out over the Vistula River and the gold-roofed Sigismund Chapel.

Continue to Rynek Główny, where the star attraction is the 13th-century St. Mary’s Basilica, home to an impressive altarpiece by Veit Stoss, and some striking paintings by artists including Matejko, Mehoffer, and Wyspiański. Nearby, St Peter and Paul’s Church is another important religious monument, build in the 17th century and still the most significant Jesuit church in Krakow.

After enjoying a coffee break (own expense) at a local café, visit one of the city’s most photographed landmarks – the elaborate Cloth Hall and the Underground Museum.

Your tour ends around 5pm back in the Main Market Square.

We did not realise there so much history to Krakow. Our guide was fantastic and pationate about her home town Krakow. Unfortunately we can’t remember her name but please apologise on our behalf for not picking this up at the time. 10/10

Our tour guide Johanna was excellent! We had a lovely time exploring Krakov with her. Her suggests for returning for the castle tour state rooms was spot on as well as visiting St. Marys Church. Highly recommend!
Don’t bother

When we met the guide, Andre, he wasn’t very friendly when greeting us. He then disappeared inside, moved across the street and kept us waiting, all without explanation. Once the tour began, he reeled off all his information like a robot. Gave us no time or opportunity to ask any questions. 4 persons out of 6 of us used some restrooms about an hour into the tour, upon our return to the group he said we are now late on the whole tour. He had absolutely no personable skills. No humour, no banter, no interest in the participants. We could only endure the torture for approx 1 and 1/2 hrs then we left the tour. We politely told him we were leaving and he just shrugged. I don’t think it was the first time he has experienced this.

Dear Jayne, thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry your experience didn’t match your expectations. It was an uncommon instance that the guide Andre (real name Andrzej) did not perform well as the previous reviews all prove his great knowledge and hospitality. We will look into this matter. Kind regards.
Nice guide gives little info wants to shop
Valerie_B, Apr 2024
Our guide was nice but not very informative. She took us to gift shops and to a hotel to show us they had a spa. We wanted to hear about the history of the old town. The next day we went on a much better tour of the Jewish Quarter and learned more. That guide was with the free tours where you pay what you think its worth at the end. The company is Walkative. His name was Tom. “Big Tom” He does several tours in Krakow and was fantastic.
Response from Host, Apr 2024
Dear Valerie, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with the tour program that the guide chose. Since this review is public i wish to clarify the following information: the "gift shops" that you mentioned are actually in The Krakow Cloth Hall - one of the most important landmarks of Krakow's Old Town dating back to the XIV century. It was once a major centre of international trade. It is a must-see stop and any Krakow Old Town tour would be incomplete without it. The hotel that you visited is The Copernicus Hotel located in a landmark building named "Tenement House under the Butterfly". This wonderfully restored building with beautiful interiors, located on Krakow's oldest street, dates back to the first half of the XV century. We are grateful that you chose our tour and hope that your stay in Krakow was memorable. Kind regards.
Enjoyable and informative 👍
