Great day in Kyoto

We had an awesome day cycling around the sights of Kyoto. Julian was an excellent guide and english is his first language. The weather was perfect. If you like riding this is a great way to see Kyoto.

A must do in Kyoto

Mayco was an excellent guide taking us around Kyoto's must see places including some local but worthwhile places which had very few tourists. Kyoto is a beautiful and interesting city which is best explored by bike. Being a longer format tour, it's best of have some level of fitness and confidence on a bike.

Such an enjoyable day: our two teenagers actually remembered what fun you can have without being surgically attached to a mobile phone. Sean, our guide, was brilliant: really easy-going but always attentive to the group’s safety and needs. He was full of interesting local and historical facts and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of all the backstreets around Kyoto. We were out from 9.30am to 6.30pm and saw so much. I honestly can’t recommend this enough: you’ll come back nicely tired but very fulfilled.

Perfect Bike Trip in Kyoto!

One of the best bike tours I’ve done! Our guide was Jay and he made for an unforgettable day tour of Kyoto. We hit up so many spots, many were unexpected. Some of the highlights were seeing some off the beaten path areas of Fushimi Inari, delicious lunch in a local ramen spot, Jay’s stories and context, riding down hidden alleys of Gion and of course that we actually had snow flurries at a few of the temples. A great way to burn some calories and see many of the Kyoto highlights in a day. Overall a wonderful small group tour!

My wife and I did the cycling tour lead by Julian today. We met the rest of our group in morning and quickly got on with Road for a day of cycling and sight seeing around Kyoto. Julian was great and had plenty of information and anecdotes to make the whole day very enjoyable. The lunch that was included was really good also, one of the best I have had in Japan. In summary I would highly recommend if you you want an efficient and very fun way to see kyoto. Also big thank you to our guide Julian for making it such a memorable day.

We had an absolute blast on the full day biking tour. We got to see so much of Kyoto in one day at a perfect pace while exploring the side streets that one normally would not wander into in a regular tour. Shawn, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and gracious. He shared a lot of the history and stories behind the sights. My hubby’s bike had a flat tire on the way back and Shawn offered his bike while he ran back to the shop. Would highly recommend this tour.

Biking also wasn’t that difficult mostly flat with beautiful scenery as you hiked around. We avoided busy roads and felt safe the whole time

Cycling experience that all other Kyoto residence have is sooo cool and not for the faint of heart. You’ve got to be paying attention to everything around you. Juan is kind, friendly, knowledgeable.
