Fun seeing a lake in Death Valley
Deborah_B, Apr 2024
Very thorough tour of the National Park and excellent guide. Loved being in a small group and pick up and drop off at my hotel.
Death Valley in March
May_D, Mar 2024
It was a very good trip overall. Guide was a little too talkative but nice. Van needs fixing, thank goodness it was good weatherwise, not hot.
Response from Host, Mar 2024
Hi May, Thanks for the review. I wish you had mentioned what you thought was wrong with the vehicle. We like to get feedback from our guests. Very best, Will & Donna Tryon - Owners
Tour cancelled by the tour company
Animesh_G, Nov 2023
Tour was canceled by the tour company day before in the afternoon. They said they could not go because the road was closed. That is not true. We immediately arranged through our hotel a Death Valley tour by another company the same day. It was a fabulous tour and the road was definitely not closed. The tour company was not honest. They said they would credit the money for the canceled tour but we have not seen this in our account yet. We don’t recommend this tour company. Viator should check this company further.
Response from Host, Nov 2023
We are sorry that we had to cancel the Death Valley Tour this week. Due to massive flooding in August there was extensive damage to most of the roads in the Park. Some roads have opened in the last couple of weeks but not all of the roads and stops that we include in our tour were accessible. We are getting weekly updates from the Park and expect to be able to do our version of the tour next week.
Great trip
Jack_E, Aug 2023
We had a great time with Art on this tour. Pick up was on time, snacks and water was provided. Art knew so much information and definitely shared everything he could with us. Art offered to take pictures for us too! Totally recommend. The tour did leave an hour and half prior to the written 7am tour due to weather.
Response from Host, Aug 2023
Hi Jack, Thank you for the detailed review. Art is truly a walking encylopedia of the south west. So glad you had fun with him. Please come back there is so much yet to see. Very best regards, Will & Donna Tryon - Owners
Hot hot hot - great day out!
Hilary_S, Aug 2023
Great experience. A must do in my book and I was well cared for on one of the hottest days in August. The company moved the itinerary around so we would not be out and about at the hottest points of the day and the hydration kept on coming. Very knowledgable guide. Lovely touches for breakfast and lunch - have done longer days when nothing was provided. Van was clean and very comfy with excellent air-con.
Response from Host, Aug 2023
Hi Hilary, Thank you so much for your detailed review. Please come back and visit with us again, there is lots left to see. Very best regards, Will & Donna Tryon - Owners
Hot but well managed
YuYu_P, Jul 2023
Death Valley was already really hot when we visited in mid-June, but the guides Art and Michael always checked if we had enough water. There were also stops at the visitor center for us to just hang around and get some break from just driving and stopping at each stop. Art was very knowledgeable about many aspects of Death Valley including some of the vegetation and geology, and I enjoyed hearing the historical and cultural context of what Death Valley signified in different times.
Response from Host, Jul 2023
Hi YuYu, Thanks for the review and comments on our guides. Please come back and visit with us again, there are so many great places yet to see. Very best, Will & Donna Tryon - Owners

Awesome experience!
Milene_C, May 2023
It’s not my first time booking tours trough Viator, and this was one of the best. It was absolutely great - everything went according to plan, I recommend it to friends and would definitely use again for future holidays. I wanted especially to thank our guide Art, for taking the time to give me such a wonderful tour of Death Valley, providing me with a great introduction to the park, allowing me to choose a place to sit, where I could take the best pictures! I really appreciate!
Response from Host, May 2023

Driver should assist onto...
Susan_J, May 2023
Driver should assist onto bus. Did not see bottom step, stumbled twisted knee ankle & back. Right before I got into back seat & signed waiver! Point it out!
Response from Host, May 2023
Hi Susan, Thank you for the review. Our guides are always at the entrance of the vehicle to assist. I don't know how this could have happened. Very best regards, Will & Donna Tryon - Owners
The trip itself is...
Aron_K, Apr 2023
The trip itself is amazing and well organized. The only negative feedback is communication aspect of the guide who had a great overall knowledge but was not really aware of the fact that he was guiding English speaking but non native English speaking tourists, and the communication was quite difficult with him.
Response from Host, Apr 2023
Hi Aron, Thank you for the review. Correct, we give our tours in English and it can be difficult if it isn't your native tongue. Overall, glad you had a fun day. Very best regards, Will & Donna Tryon - Owners
Great Death Valley experience!
Scott_H, Apr 2023
Beautiful scenery and lots of great photo opportunities. Art (our driver and tour guide) explained a lot of the history of the area while we were en route to the various stops. Lots of water was provided as well as breakfast and lunch and there were ample rest stops along the way too, to use the bathroom and buy snacks and souvenirs. Recommended!
Response from Host, Apr 2023
HI Scott, Thank you for the review on the tour and Art. Death Valley is certainly a special place. So happy you experienced it. Very best regards, Will & Donna Tryon - Owners

Great trip
Denise_W, Apr 2023
Clayton was very knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. He went with those who could do the more strenuous walks, but made those who could not feel fine doing less. Be warned, Death can be very cold or very hot.
Response from Host, Apr 2023
Hi Denise, Thank you so much for the review and your comments on our guide Clayton. He's a cool guy. And yes, Death Valley is a strange and wonderful place. Please come back and visit again, there is so much yet to see. Very best regards, Will & Donna Tryon - Owners
Death Valley Explained
David_D, Feb 2023
Having always wanting to go to Death Valley, this trip was highly anticipated, we were not disappointed. Marcus arrived on time and the SUV was extremely comfortable with only 4 of us on the tour. Marcus was extremely knowledgeable and he gave a running commentary in a relaxed manner. He didn't go over the top just the facts and places we needed to know and see to understand what Death Valley is all about. We were mesmerised with the beauty balanced by the understanding that you treat this place with the utmost respect. An excellent trip would highly recommend.
Response from Host, Feb 2023
Hi David, Thank you for your review and compliments on our Guide Marcus. Death Valley is a wonder filled place indeed. We are so happy you got the opportunity to experience it first hand. I'll post your review for Marcus and the staff to see. Very best regards, Will & Donna Tryon - Owners
They cancelled the trip
Sandra_H, Oct 2022
Trip was cancelled because roads were damaged in flood. What is there to say. Disappointing. You are too demanding wanting more
Response from Host, Oct 2022
We are so sorry that we were unable to operate the Death Valley Tour. If you check the National Park Service website for Death Valley it will show you that a lot of the roads which were damaged in flooding this summer are still closed while being repaired. This is very disappointing for us also.
Anniversary trip
vsmith01, Oct 2022
Our driver and tour guide Clayton was great and very informative. This was our second trip to Death Valley, and we love Death Valley's views right from the beginning until the end. Lunch was good. The Sand Dunes were new for us, so that was great. I definitely would recommend this to anyone who enjoys the outdoors.
Response from Host, Oct 2022

Had a fantastic time in this tour! Art our guide was very knowledgeable and we had plenty of time to enjoy each stop at Death Valley. Considering the size of the park, We covered most of the must see points. Being a small group made even more enjoyable. Recommend!
