Great Buckingham tour, but not so great walking tour

The Buckingham part of the tour was fabulous. I highly recommend seeing the state rooms in Buckingham Palace. The audio is extremely well done, very easy to understand, there are individuals in each room to answer questions, and it is very very organized and interesting. Preceding the Buckingham tour is a walking tour. The individual who gave the walking tour had a very, very heavy British accent, and spoke very rapidly. I asked him very quietly if he could please slow down. He said he has so much to say and he didn’t slow down. I understood perhaps 40% of what he said and I am a native English speaking person. It was extremely frustrating. So, if possible, I would recommend only going on the Buckingham tour, perhaps, directly with Buckingham palace and foregoing the walking tour. Unless you’re a Brit, you probably won’t understand more than 40% of what the guy says.

Missed the tour

We got to the Palace at 1:00 but could not find the check in place so we did not take the tour. There were no signs directing us.

Waited by the York statue, took TIME pics to show we were there- attempted to contact the tour guide via the app, called the 1800 number, went to the Philippines (absolutely NO help) - we went to the palace, all tickets sold out, BEGGED for help but since it was a 3rd party they didnt have to. Finally the Palace manager came out, wonderful man, said this happens ALL the time!!! He brought us to another palace emp who checks the tours in, he then went and got the lady from the tour, SHE said oh you didnt miss anything they just walked over!!! Price to get in if purchased from the palace 99euros- price here 248!!!! We got absolutely nothing from viator- i called and called, texted and texted!! RIP OFF

Many interesting facts given by Paul during the walking tour. We were given palace earphones and an audio guide at the palace entrance. This greatly facilitated understanding each palace room we toured.

Not worth the money

This tour is expensive and not really worth it. You pay a premium price for a tour guide to walk you down the mall for 45 minute and then you get an audio like everyone else does for Buckingham palace. I’d recommend people just to book direct on this one. Buckingham palace is really good but it’s such a pity you aren’t allowed to take photos. So yes I’d recommend Buckingham palace but not this tour
