What To Expect

As evening sets in, meet your tour guide at Green Park and steel yourself for a journey through the spirited side of London's upscale Mayfair neighborhood. As you set off, take in the city's nocturnal nature, where bubbling nightlife mingles with what lurks in the shadows, and hear chilling tales of murder, execution, and intrigue.

Begin with a visit to London’s most haunted park, where beneath your feet rest the bones of unknown plague victims. Pass homes of ill-repute such as the infamous St. James's Palace, a royal residence that was the site of a gory murder in the 19th century. Hear grisly details of the slashed valet and about his ghost that has prowled the halls ever since. Follow the trail of hauntings to London’s most famous house, Buckingham Palace, followed by the Royal Academy of Arts and ending at the Royal Institution of Great Britain.

Please note: Though this is a walking tour, tube transit is required. Please bring a charged Oyster card or money to purchase one en route.

Guide was sick - tour was canceled
Patty_Z, Jun 2023
I got a message late in the afternoon that our guide was sick and they were moving the tour to Monday night. We had tickets for Mama Mia so we couldn’t go. Very disappointing- but I’m sorry the quire was sick.

Hi, we are very sorry for this inconvenience that may have caused you. We tried looking for a reliever that time but unfortunately, all guides are out for a tour. I hope that next time you would be able to still join one of our tours and as our way of making up for your cancelled tour, you can join the next time for free.

We went to the appointed place to meet 15 mins before the meet time and waiting a further 15 mins but no one appeared to take the tour. Thank you Viator for refunding us. We were very disappointed as we were looking forward to this walk.

Small group. Guide was highly informative and enthusiastic about each of the locations and stories attached to each location. Also allowed us to see major areas and landmarks of London at night.

Tour guide Natalie was very experienced only a couple months on the job. This really showed in her delivery of the material, which was not great. She nearly lost her group in the park because she was so far ahead and texting instead of looking. When asked about it she was sarcastic and said people should keep up. Then lost two when she failed to make sure people got through the tube gate, and couldn't help them because she was on the other side. Poor service.

The guide did not turn up, we waited along with a number of other people for an hour past the scheduled time but no guide arrived. So I cannot comment on the actual tour hope other people have more than a ghost of a chance

Thomas R, Jul 2016
The tour was at 6 PM on a summer day, so our guide mentioned that it was less spooky due to the sun still being out. That being said, Natalie did her best to impart ghost stories around London, but he storytelling abilities were sub-par. She was very nice and we left having a greater appreciation for some of London's history, but this was not a scary ghost tour at all. After reading the reviews of other customers, I wish Tom had been our tour guide.

Great tour. There were no other people joining the group, so we had a private tour! Our guide, Tom, was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The weather was, for once, perfect, so we had an excellent evening.

The tour was good, not particularly scary but interesting enough - if you have a spare night in London and you're into plague pits and hainted buildings, this is a good one.

We enjoyed the tour and the historical content very much. However there were far too many people on it so you couldnt always hear- 50+. Also Viator said there would be a river trip to finish- there was not! We had to pay extra to catch the underground train back to Tower Hill- unsatisfactory!

Not our favourite, there was no local history given and even though the description says a Thames boat ride, there was none. We were dropped off at the tower with no place to go. Have had much better ghost tours, and was very dissapointed. Not a great way to start our vacation in london
