What To Expect

Depart from your centrally located London hotel in a private vehicle and get acquainted with your personal driver on the scenic drive to Windsor. Customize your itinerary during a discussion with your driver and then set out to discover the sights you wish to see.

Perhaps, visit the town’s most prominent attraction, Windsor Castle, an official residence of Her Majesty the Queen cradled by rolling green hills. Venture within the opulent chambers of the castle and see the decadent State Chambers and St. George’s Chapel. Amble around the 13-acre grounds and then return to your vehicle to see a special ceremony.

Head into the town center to see the daily Changing of the Guard ceremony, a colorful performance in which vibrantly dressed soldiers march to the rhythm of military drums. Watch the traditional show in awe and then head to Windsor Great Park to admire the symmetrical rows of trees and bright flowerbeds on a leisurely stroll of the Long Walk.

Opt to travel to Eton, a historical town home to the prestigious Eton College, and browse the artisan boutiques of the area. Alternatively, choose to see the proximate town of Runnymede to visit the site upon which King John sealed the Magna Carta in 1215.

Ahmed was an incredible tour guide!!! He has a wealth of knowledge about British and world history and even more about the city of London. We learned so much from him during our roundtrip to Windsor Castle. One of our favorite parts was taking a detour through Runnymeade and seeing where the Magna Carta was signed. Would recommend Ahmed for any London tour guide.

This was an independent trip and was driven by a private driver. We were on our own and had about 2 hours to explore and see the palace. There was really no time for anything more than that. While we appreciated the comfort of riding in a car, we were disappointed with the driver's contribution to this trip. He had very little to say and mostly complained that the company he worked for should have told us to be ready for pick up at 9 am instead of 10 am. It was obviously and inconvenience for him and he went on and on about his unhappiness with this. Made us feel nervous as though we had done something wrong when in fact it was his company that made this determination - not ours. Do not expect to have a leisurely stroll around Windsor - you will need to be ready to go and reviewing the castle grounds and what you want to see before hand will be helpful. Also, if you can preorder your entry tickets, it will be helpful and shave off precious time.

This tour, unfortunately, was not at all as it was described on the website. It was merely an over-priced ride to Windsor Castle. For starters, the website states that the tour begins at 9am. After waiting in the cold for quite a while, we called the tour company and were told it actually began at 10am. The driver was kind enough to arrive as soon as possible. When he arrived, we had no option to see any other sites in or around Windsor or Eton and, when we asked the driver about tips, he didn't have anything to offer. As some of the previous reviewers noted, their drivers provided information about what they were seeing along the way. Our driver gave no information at all along the drive, or any information about the Castle. Very disappointing.

Our trip to Windsor Castle was great! Our driver Dusko Vujnovic was very professional. He drove us around the Castle area as well the Eton College area and was very informative about these places.
