Embark on an adventure and go off the beaten path in this small-group rappelling excursion. Learn how to descend down the numerous waterfalls and cliffs along the Road to Hana, starting small then scaling up to a slightly-more difficult 30-foot (9-meter) waterfall.

Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to tour time and map location & travel time before leaving accommodations. Enter the Garden of Eden Arboretum and identify yourself as a Rappel Maui guest. Proceed 100 yards to the Rappel Maui assigned parking area. Your guides will meet you at your tour time.

What To Expect

Rappel, cliff jump, hike, and swim on this small-group adventure exploring Maui’s waterfalls and rainforest.

Your tour starts by meeting your guide at the easy-to-locate departure point. This is a small, intimate group, so you’ll still receive plenty of guidance from your guide and support team.

This tour takes you off the beaten path and into the wild rainforest. You’ll start rappelling smaller cliffs and waterfalls, and then you’ll progress to higher ones of up to 30 feet (8 meters).

Note that it rains part of every day in this part of Maui, and your tour will still run when it’s raining. But your guide will make sure you’re safe, choosing the best cliffs and waterfalls to rappel based on weather conditions.

Minimum age is 10 years old.
Not wheelchair accessible
All participants must weigh between 70 lbs and 250 lbs; waists must measure between 22 and 48 inches. We weigh all participants at check in. There is no refund for guests who don't make the weight restriction at the check in point.
Participants must understand spoken English well and speak it fluently.
All minors must be accompanied by an adult; a legal parent or guardian must sign the child's permission form before tour begins.

Operates in all weather conditions with alternate rappels when the waterfalls are flooding, please dress appropriately.

No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
Participants must be able to walk and hike unassisted.
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 8 travelers

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

This excursion was amazing!! Shauna and Jackson were great. They were very knowledgeable and kept us safe. They were very personable and kept us laughing the entire time. Rappelling down the waterfall was such a unique experience that we would love to do again. Highly recommend.

Rappelling down the waterfall with my family with adult kids was so much fun. All 4 of us were a little scared at first since we had never done anything like this before. However, with clear instructions and continuous encouragement, not only we were able to complete the rappelling down the cliffs, but also enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and swimming in water. We definitely made wonderful memories.

Just went to this Rappel Maui experience and it was awesome. The two lovely guides were so helpful, kind , patient and fun. They were so prepared, made us feel safe and were pros at helping with any anxiety issues. We had so much fun. We had three different rappel opportunities, each a little different height and difficulty level. But all were perfect for a beginner like me. The scenery was beautiful and the waterfalls were spectacular. If you are thinking about it, please go. You will have an experience of a lifetime.

This was a really cool experience! Our tour guides made us feel like we were in great hands, they gave clear and easy to understand instructions and made us feel super safe and supported while we were rappelling. The location is absolutely gorgeous, photos don’t do it justice! I only wish the tour was longer, I was hoping we would have more than 3 rappels. Overall, the experience was amazing - it’s a pricier one, but if you can afford it I would highly recommend it!
