    You can also put in Kihei Boat Ramp in Google Maps. Parking is free and you park at one of the two parking lots above the lot where the boats/trailers are. Look for the big red boat for check-in. Please make sure to arrive 30 minutes prior to departure - show up at 6:30AM, departure at 7.

What To Expect

Spend your day in Maui enjoying an up-close encounter with the island’s diverse marine life during this snorkeling adventure to some of the island’s top sites. You’ll stop by Molokini Crater and Turtle Town, allowing you the chance to spot a wealth of tropical fish, rays and Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles.

Check in for your day’s snorkel adventure early in the morning at the Kihei Small Boat Ramp. Skim over the waters near Maui in a speedy, eco-friendly military-inspired raft, heading first to Molokini Crater. This crescent-shaped crater is all that remains of a volcanic eruption millions of years ago. Today it plays host to a wealth of marine life like rays and tropical fish. 

Thanks to your early start time, you’ll likely be the first boat at the site, ensuring an uncrowded snorkeling experience. Enjoy a continental breakfast before jumping into the water. Visibility at this top-notch diving and snorkeling site often exceeds 180 feet (55m), ensuring you clear sight lines all the way to the bottom. If you want to relax, feel free to take a break on the boat’s comfortable pontoons for some sunbathing. Then head to the backside of Molokini Crater, a snorkel site few visitors ever see.

Leave Molokini behind as you head to your next snorkel spot at ‘Turtle Town,’ stopping on the way to see some recent lava flows at La Perouse Bay, a favorite habitat for Hawaiian spinner dolphins. Arrive at your final snorkel site, ‘Turtle Town,’ where you’ll have a chance to swim with the gentle Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles that inhabit the area. When you come back up, dig into a deli lunch before returning back to your departure point in Maui.

Our experience was incredible! The small group experience was great and our guides were amazing. We did the 5 hour tour and it was an incredible time. The boat ride was awesome. Four stops at incredible snorkel spots with breakfast and lunch. 10/10 would recommend and so again!

High expectations-Weather Turned it less fun.

This was my second time in Hawaii First time was 5 years previous and the snorkeling trip out of Waikiki was the highlight of the trip for me. But I saw a wider varity of fish snorkeling off the beach in front of my hotel than I did on this trip. Maybe my expectations was set to high thinking I was going to see something new. They did the best they could with the weather they had, The first stop the crater was under welmining. not much in way of fish but the coral was neat I listened to the guide and stayed where he said maybe if I went off further towards the crater wall may have saw more. The second stop in front of the crater was not for the faint of heart, It was rough maybe on a calmer day would have been nice I didnt feel comfortable with my wife and daughter getting in they are healthy and fit but not the most athletic. I got in and regretted it, Caught a wave wrong coming back to the boat, got a lung full of water by the time I recovered the current took me some distance and it was alot of work to get back to the boat. Was tired, winded and boat was rocking alot in the rough seas ended up smacking my knee on the ladder trying to get back in and the made the rest of the trip less fun. Next stop (the dolphins) was canceled since it was to rough not sure of the name of where we stopped next but it was ok basically swimming off the beach. The last stop was with the Turtles and that was what I was looking forward to. Ended up not getting in since at the last stop I had a hard time getting back into the boat knee was really hurting. Weather made the trip less than ideal under the right circumstances it probably would have been great as it was wish I would have saved my money.

Saw whales and one staff member (a woman) was extremely knowledgeable about what’s which was really interesting and awesome. Didn’t make it to la Perouse Bay due to weather but maybe next time. My 3 teenagers loved the trip! Turtle was cool. Back side of Molokini crater was awesome and inspiring

I wanted a tour that allowed more time to snorkel, and was local to my hotel/rental. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable and delivered exactly what was promised; we saw whales, several sorts of fish and turtles. What would have made a good experience even better: since the whales were nearby and active, it would have been appreciated if we had taken a few minutes out of the schedule to view them closer.

This trip was incredible! The boat was fast and fun! The tour guides were so knowledgeable and made use feel safe. We saw whales, turtles, coral, eels and so many beautiful fish! We were able to snorkel at 4 different locations and it felt relaxed and enjoyable! This is a MUST!!!

Molokai crater gets so much hype, but we didn’t think it was better than a lot of the snorkel sites in Hawaii that are much easier to access. The ride was quite jarring/bumpy and not enjoyable to us. Also, one of the sites we stopped at was accessible from the beach, so we didn’t need to take a boat tour for that.
