The trip begins with a stop at a waterfall on the Hana highway, where you'll also see an ancient water tunnel. Continue your hike through a rainforest, observing unique flora like dinosaur ferns and ancient Hawaiian trees, while exploring ancient ruins.
Later on, chocolate lovers are in for a treat, as the tour includes an educational chocolate experience where you learn about the process of making chocolate from cacao trees. You’ll also have the opportunity to taste different chocolates and even make your own.
Finish your trip with a hike along the ancient paths once used by Hawaiian royalty, through the historical Kings Gardens, and right back to your meeting point.

Our tour was whittled down to just my wife and I due to heavy rains but Jiva was excellent as a tour guide providing rain ponchos and being very safety conscious on the wet and slippery surfaces. He was very knowledgeable and presented the information in a way that was easy to understand and remember. He has a great sense of humour and we had an excellent time in the garden despite the rain. The history of chocolate making and the sampling were a nice finish to the tour. Well worth the time and money.

We had the best time - once we actually found the location!! (gotta love the maps app :( ) T our guide was so fun and gave us the best tour. (minus the bugs BRING bug spray if mosquitos love you and mud haha) and we tasted some of the best chocolate ever! This is a must do when out in Maui! Totally head into a rainforest and end at a beautiful waterfall!

T was an excellent tour guide! Do knowledgeable you would have thought he had been doing this for years! We enjoyed it all! The scenery, the chocolates, learning about all the different plants and just great conversation with T! Would definitely recommend!

Listening to the stories, the tour guy told, and his explanations of all the different plants and how they got there was very informative. Also enjoyed the chocolate tasting our tour guide was a delight.

Our tour guide was excellent. I love how informative and very interactive he is. However, I booked this thinking that we’ll be able to go to the waterfall and enjoy dipping our feet in the water. None of that happened. We looked at the waterfall from afar. It’s a short hike as well. The chocolate tasting was nice. If you’re looking to enjoy a waterfall, this would not be for you.

Aloha Cynthia, Happy that you loved our guide, as you might know 99% of people love their time with us and their visit to this ancient Hawaiian historical site and the beautiful waterfall views. In regard to the waterfall, with the rise of global warming more and more people are being swept away at all waterfall locations to never be seen again or found to have passed away. Kindly note this is one of the main reasons we do not have people go to the waterfall for their Safty, and we are at an officially recognized safe distance to help keep people safe. Also The waterfall is in conservation used for farming and human consumption.
And as this is a fund raiser for charity, we do state in all honesty state that it is "a mini waterfall hike with waterfall views" We are so sorry that you missed that in the description verbiage. Again over 99 % of people have a super Wonderul time. Have a nice rest of the day. The Kings Gardens Maui "Voted Best Of Maui"
