Very long and very little coffee

This is hard to write because everyone there was so lovely, really nice kind lovely people. But it was so long. Could be 2 hours shorter. We sat for about 90 minutes on concrete being talked to. The info was great and interesting but far too much and too long. Then people dressed up and had fun. Then we did some coffee picking which was the best part but it was all rushed. Then we sat somewhere else and were talked to again for about 90 minutes .. it was so hot.. none of us could concentrate… we just wanted to taste a few coffees and learn the basics but we had one small espresso and small espresso size tea. The mules were very sweet and the guides were so kind and helpful but it was such a random mule ride.. up through the coffee farm and round to the main road and along the highway. Wasn’t sure of the purpose, wasn’t very scenic or what I pictured at all. Not related to the coffee farm.. again everyone was so nice so helpful such very nice people but it was my least favourite day in my 7 weeks in Colombia. I love to learn but the practical stuff was much more interesting and we really wanted to taste a few more coffees. In the intense heat it was too difficult to take in all the information.

Good experience and educational if one is serious about coffee

I've learnt something even more about coffee and what is considered to be a good coffee and what is considered a bad coffee. In my humble opinions, I still think that coffee we are drinking in Europe is a good coffee. But then what do I know 😀. Still it was very educational tour and now I know a lot more about coffee. The horse ride at the end of the tour was really fun.

Interesting but a bit long and not as described

The tour was interesting but a bit long. We spent a lot of time sitting on hard seats listening to someone explain the whole coffee process. I would have liked to see more of the actual process. They did provide a good lunch on location. The horseback/mule ride was after everything else. There were only four horses and 11 mules. The trail was very rough and included some riding along a busy highway. Fortunately the horses and mules were very calm in spite of the traffic.

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Colombia. It was so informative to learn how coffee is made and our guide did a wonderful job keeping it interesting. I loved that we got to actually pick beans. The horseback ride was also interesting and fun. My husband and I are so happy we chose this tour!

30 to 45 min Mule / donkey ride NOT a horse riding coffee tour AT ALL... disappointing

Waiting all the morning with great great information about coffee and a great guide just to get a ride 30- 40 minute ride on a mule / donkey at the end of the day .... false advertisement. Amazing information about coffe from 9 am to 2 pm then a small 30 min ish ride on a donkey/mule then back home. They don't t even ask you your level of horse riding they just put you on a mule based on your face. They don't listen to you when you try to explain that you would rather be on a horse as it was planned. Part of The ride is on a highway road.. Left there with the impression of being a fool and with a lot of disappointment.

Worth it

Great coffee tour. You get to do tastings with coffee and tea. The tea is made from the outer parts of the coffee beans that isn't roasted. The coffee tasting is one regular black coffee and one with milk. Both are in small tea cups, so don’t expect to get your morning’s full cup of coffee from the tour. Afterwards, you get to ride on horses through the farm, to a nearby neighborhood, through the highway, and back to the farm. The guides will also take photos for you

This tour was amazing! I fully recommend this tour for singles and or family/ friend groups. Everyone was super nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. My family and I appreciated the rich history about the coffee process. The tastings and lunch provided was excellent. The option for horseback riding was the best!!! As a first time rider along with my family we felt safe and confortable. We were able to take so many pictures and stop at different points to admire the most beautiful views of the mountains and landscape. This is truly a well worth tour/ experience! We absolutely loved it!

Had an amazing time. Learned allot about the process of coffee from plant to cup. Also learned a lot about the history of the people and how important the crop was to them. I had not idea that from the plant you could make more types of drinks and foods. We got to pick the coffee plant, harvest it, process it, and turn it into coffee. After all that we got to eat like they did all those years ago. Had amazing time would rate higher if possible.

Amazing experience. We learned about the history of coffee and were given different types of drinks throughout the tour to try, as well as lunch and a snack. We went coffee bean picking (make sure to wear hiking shoes), and the horseback riding was a great way to end it.
