Amazing Experience, Learned So Much and Had Fun!
Felicia_T, Apr 2024
The trip started with our pick up at our hotel in El Poblado, very easy and simple. Daniel picked us up and as soon as we sat down and he explained the history of the farm and the family, we were hooked. I loved the dogs and the family feel from the start. We felt welcomed and learned so much. From the coffee tastings, to learning about the entire process from seed to cup, to all the interactive and hands on experiences throughout the life cycle of a coffee bean. This being a private tour made all the difference and was well worth it, the entire experience felt personal and we learned so much. We felt at ease to hang out and ask questions, that were all answered to our satisfaction. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested.
Fantastic Day at the Coffee Farm

5/5 I had a fantastic private tour with Sarah. She was amazing! Communicative, funny, well-spoken (English-speaker here), and extremely knowledgeable and passionate. Both she and the tour operator let me know all of the pertinent details before the tour by WhatsApp and she picked me up/dropped me off directly at my hotel. This tour is for someone who is very passionate about coffee. You learn about every step of the process, the history of coffee, the steps involved in the growth of the coffee cherry, the factors involved in different flavour profiles and of course, there is a delicious tasting with different methods of preparation. You also get the chance to pick coffee cherries, which was fun! Would recommend!
Coffee - Private Farm & Techniques

By far, one of the best tours ever! The three of us received a private tour from Sara who is absolutely terrific! She and Andres communicated with us before the tour via WhatsApp providing helpful details and suggestions. We were hosted by Antonio and Paulo on their farm which is not far from El Poblado - without traffic, maybe 30 minutes - Sara shared info about the neighborhoods and offered suggestions for other activities. The farm is up a crazy hill in the mountains that Sara navigated brilliantly. Antonio and Paolo taught us four different ways to prepare coffee and even offered one for tea since I don’t drink coffee. My husband and our friend love coffee. There really is a difference in how coffee tastes based on its preparation. The part I loved the most was going into the fields and picking the beans. We had stunning weather. The views and foliage are gorgeous ! I agree with the recommendation to wear long pants and shirt. First, it protected me from the mosquitos (they have bug spray) plus I could go further into the fields without getting scraped with foliage, and lastly, I think I stayed cooler. They provide boots, poncho, hat, and the bucket to hold the beans. Upon returning from the fields, Sara explained how the beans are selected to become coffee and processed. This trip was educational, informative, and fun!
Loved it!

Best tour we could’ve booked! Esteban and Laura were wonderful hosts and we greatly enjoyed their company as well as knowledge. They went out of their way to teach us about coffee process and ensure we got the most of our time there (despite some unexpected rain). Would highly recommend to any Medillin tourists!

Daniel was a fantastic guide and conversationalist. He brought the interactive experience to life and the coffee was great! Definitely a highlight of our trip to Medellin.
Amazing coffee, setting and guide!
Claire_T, Jan 2024
We had such an incredible time on this experience! The farm is absolutely stunning, a true oasis just outside of Medellin. The family that owns the farm is wonderful and has created such a fun and interactive experience for all the guests. Our guide, Erika, is absolutely incredible and so knowledgable on the coffee-making process, as well as all things Colombia - not to mention so friendly and funny! Finally, the coffee was delicious and I wish I had bought more bags to bring home.
Best coffee tour ever!
Rehana_R, Jan 2024
This tour was our favorite tour from our whole trip! Our tour guide Andres was abundantly knowledge about coffee and had so much passion for it which made our tour so engaging and wonderful. We also met Laura and Simon at the coffee farm and they were very knowledgable and personable. I'm not much of a coffee person and they accommodated by providing Aguapanela for me to drink. Overall, I'd highly recommend this tour!

Amazing experience, fascinating to learn about the coffee farming process and to get a chance to pick some coffee beans ourselves. Daniel was very nice and super knowledgeable. I highly recommend the tour.
Amazing experience; so worth it!
JohnT_D, Dec 2023
This was so fun and informative. Laura was the most friendly and knowledgeable tour guide I’ve ever had, and the family provided great hospitality. I loved participating in the process by picking beans, and the coffee at the tasting was amazingly good. I highly recommend this; it was worth paying a bit more to have a private tour rather than a group!
We had an excellent tour...

We had an excellent tour with Andres and Alejandra! They were very kind, fun and easy to learn from. We loved the hands on approach to the tour, it was laid back but packed with good information and good experiences! I would highly recommend this tour. They were also very accommodating to both English and Spanish languages.

Our tour guide Andrés Castiblanco was incredible. He was extremely knowledgeable and kind, as was the family at the coffee farm Bosques La Doctura. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Medellín as it was engaging and authentic, as well as located in a beautiful area to walk around. Thank you Andrés!
Fun with coffee!

We had a great tour with Andres. The tour was very interesting and we learned so much about coffee and coffee beans. Andres was very engaging and the staff at the farm were very nice and accommodating. We were a group of 7 and we all enjoyed and recommend this tour.

Laura is the best. Love the excursion, the service, the good attention. The fact that the tour was private is a plus because they can ask questions and clear up all the doubts one may have. Recommended.
Great experience
Francheska_H, Aug 2023
We booked this tour and we were not disappointed at all. The farm was cute and the people were so nice. Andres our guide was AMAZING! He was so patient as I had my twin toddler with us and did everything he could to keep them entertained as well. My family and I appreciate him so much and enjoyed all the information he gave us.
