What To Expect

After a hassle-free escape from the city chaos, indulge in a delightful breakfast in Actopan. The journey continues with a quick break in San Cristobal to collect last-minute supplies.

After arriving at Tolantongo, your day unfolds in three phases— beginning with the tranquil "pocitos" thermal pools, followed by the turquoise river's soothing embrace. Then, refuel with a filling lunch by the river (own expense) before your third and final aquatic adventure.

Conclude with cave exploration at Grutas Tolantongo, featuring spectacular waterfalls and warm pools.

As the day wraps up, make a brief stop to try traditional English treats at Pastes Ricos before the final journey back to CDMX.

It was a great tour! I enjoyed every minute of this day. The nature of Tolantongo is very beautiful. Our guide Damian did everything possible to make our tour comfortable. He provided all the necessary information and supplied everything necessary for swimming and visiting caves. Lunch by the river was a very pleasant end to the day. I definitely recommend this tour. The tour is completely safe, well organized and will leave you with many pleasant impressions. The only thing I would like to change is to stay in Tolantongo one more day.

I'm so glad we took this trip. It is a LONG day, but it is planned out with a good schedule that allows for ample time at each step of the day. I was worried about crowds on a Saturday but our guide Damian took us to locations that were less crowded - his "secret spots". This park is one of the most beautiful places I've seen and I wouldn't skip a single stop throughout the day. Highly recommended!

This was a great experience! I had thought about doing an overnight trip to Tolantongo but going for the day turned out to be the better decision. The drive is so windy and in the middle of no where. It was easy to just sleep on the comfy bus and wake up there. Our guide, Danny, was awesome!

OMG what an experience! Damien was our tour guide and he was fantastic! I was hesitant to come on a 16 hour day but they split it up perfectly and it was comfortable. Took really good care of us, the place was gorgeous and like a dream I don’t know what I’d liked better those little pools or the caves! Probably the caves! Experience top five things I’ve ever done, unreal. Definitely do but just know that it’s like 3 1/2 hours each way in the car to get there so it’s a lot of driving but 100% worth it.

This was a really nice excursion. The waters were great and our guide was so nice and helpful. The ride to Tolatongo was very long. My only complaint was the comfor of the bus. The seats were super narrow and I have a lever in my thigh the entire time. It was quite uncomfortable. We went on a Saturday and this place was very packed. Keep in mind when booking a Saturday that there will be alot of people and many children so relaxing is out of the question. The views are amazing so definately a must do.

This was a well organized, relaxing and amazingly adventurous day! Danny, our guide, really kept everyone on schedule while giving everyone plenty of time to enjoy each event of the day. Just one recommendation to other tourists, do this tour on a weekday, not weekends or holidays because it is very crowded and less relaxing by the pools and in the caves.

Amazing experience! A must of you're in the area. Our driver was aces through the heavy traffic of the city & the winding rural roads. This was a great excursion if you’re wanting a day outside of the city. Our tour guide Lalo spoke multiple languages, which was great because our group had people from all over. The drive was a bit bumpy but that would be my only complaint. The waters of tolantongo was beautiful and we had plenty of time to enjoy it and take photos. I would highly recommend this experience, as it was a relaxing get away.

As many people have said, this tour is super organized and efficient! The operators and guides are very knowledgeable and helpful with everything. Damian was very kind and approachable. The pools, rivers, and caves were absolutely amazing! The natural beauty exceeding my expectations. The only FYI I have is that the road is quite bumpy and so the drive was very bouncy, especially if you are in the back of the bus.

Heaven on Earth! Simply the best experience you may have in whole Mexico! Mineral water, 30 degrees Celsius, refreshing cave exploration... We loved Tolantongo and we will be definitely back here. Our guide, Alex, and the driver were really kind and provided everything that we needed - towels, water shoes, water, etc. Highly recommend it if you want something different and relaxing.

Everything about this trip with Tanya and our driver was impeccably organized! They were amazing! From the pre trip communication to the trip day of organization and communication, it was truly one of the best and most memorable tours I’ve been on! I think to make things a bit easier it would be better to have lunch included. This will reduce any hassle with collecting money during the trip.
