The guide and other amigo tours staff are friendly and helpful. Got to know so many things about Mexican history. I would recommend this trip for sure because i liked this one the most. Puebla market place is so lively and entertaining. Cholula church and Church of Santa María Tonantzintla are the best churches that I have ever seen. Church of Santa Maria is truly wonderful and hats off to the indigenous people who built it. I'm glad i purchased this this trip.

Yair was a brilliant guide and Puebla is a must visit for anyone coming to México City. We ran into weather and traffic on our way back and it took 5 hours to reach México city. We were all exhausted by the end.

My friend and I enjoyed this day trip so much! We had great time visiting the places and also the staff was very open to questions (Yair and Carlos). We will totally recommend the tour to other friends and/or family members. As an observation, we noticed some elderly people having issues following the pace, therefore it would be recommendable to divide the group or make a disclaimer in case some people booking the tour might have any physical condition.

Our tour guide was excellent and friendly. The issues I had are, it was 7 hours from when we left until we broke for lunch. Then when a very long day was done we had to wait 15-20 minutes for the bus to arrive at our pick up point. There were very old, very tired people standing on the side of the road waiting. Seems he should have been better coordination.

Not recommended as a tour

The tour had various issues which I have commented on below and would recommend great improvement. 1. The tour guide. Whilst we appreciate the enthusiasm, he was a hopeless communicator. His English was below par for a guide, and the way he relayed instructions was very frustrating. Firstly when explaining anything he would rant on in Spanish for ages before he got to the non-Spanish speakers. I would recommend (as we have experienced in previous tours) that the guide explain a small portion or few sentences in both English and Spanish rather then English at the end. 2. The guide was not organized. He wasted a lot of time in gathering the people together. We were only 16 people. It is an easy thing to just do a count whilst everybody is boarded. He made the people that were punctual wait longer because he was still looking for others when they were already in the group. It’s the responsibility of the individual to abide by the times. If they are late, they should not inconvenience other members of the tour! If you reprimand and keep reminding people that they MUST return at a specific time you shouldn’t have to keep others waiting. 3. The coach, whilst it was comfortable was not properly air conditioned. 4. I think the tour was poor in its content. Whilst Pueblo was an interesting city, there were far more interesting places to visit in the city which were not covered in the tour. 5. The location where the guide dropped us off for lunch (El Parian Market) was a mistake. It would have been better to be dropped and picked up by the main square of the cathedral as this is a natural Centre of this area. Also there were better choices for lunch in this location!

The temple de San Maria Tonantzintla in Cholula with its wonderful indigenous art was not to be believed and beautiful in its combination of old world beliefs and new world symbolism.. there was generally a good selection of interesting sights. Unfortunately with 40 people in the group who mainly spoke Spanish, it was difficult to hear and English explanations were slighted.
