Amalfi Coast & Pompeii Private tour

Where do I even start? I would give our tour 100 stars if I could! Easily the best thing we did on our 14 day vacation. Guides don’t come better than Mario. He was kind, passionate, knowledgeable, and flexible. Our communication and his guidance started long before we even left on our trip, with him getting in touch to recommend the best days and times for a good experience. Upon picking us up at the train station, we told him we had gotten engaged in Positano back in 2001, so he decided to head straight there so that we would have the best opportunity to experience the town again before the major crowds arrived. He recognized the overlook where my husband had proposed from a photograph and took us there so we could share it with our children and my parents (and got us a delicious lemon ice along the way). We spent free time in Positano and Sorrento. Mario’s detailed knowledge of both the region and the inner workings of the cities was invaluable to providing the perfect experience. I suffer from motion sickness, and he constantly checked in to see how I was doing and gave me breaks as needed. In Pompeii, he had arranged an expert guide for us who was so knowledgeable and had even helped with the newest excavation efforts while the site was closed during Covid-19. We got to walk down a street that until recently hadn’t been traveled for almost 2,000 years! After our tour was completed, we had a few extra hours in Napoli before our train took us back to Roma. Mario suggested the pedestrian areas by the waterfront and was happy to drop us there. He told us what time to get a taxi to be sure we made it to the station in time for our train. And then, truly going above and beyond, texted me around that time to ensure we had made it there safely and on time. We scheduled a lot of tours over the course of our vacation, but none of them can even come close to comparing to the excellence we experienced on our day with Mario. I cannot recommend this company highly enough! It is a day our family will always remember.
