Great trip on my wife's birthday of Capri

The transfers were good both ways. The boat trip was very nice there and back. It was calm sea so not too rough. the trip around the island was good and we got some great photos. Capri was great and we walked on the Island from the port and came across a sign that said Capri Central, so we ended up in the centre which you can go up by cable car. This was the highlight of the day with all the great shops and restaurants. Also had some beach time. Staff on the boat great and guide was great. Would really recommend. Thanks for an amazing day.

Marlene, Vicenzo and the boat crew/staff were great, super friendly and helpful. As expected Capri was amazing and it was the next best thing short of actually adding the small boat into the lagoons (the boat(s) got impressively close to the lagoons and caves). It would be great if they offered all inclusive packages for the bus transportation on the island and the boat cruises so that everyone knew the additional pricing and expectations up front. Otherwise, great staff and experience!

Mediocre tour

We had to stop and wait for other tourists in a nearby port, then we had to stop in Capri, wait again for another boat so we could change and do the tour of the island - all wasted time that we could have spent walking and enjoying Capri and not in line to change boats and wait other tourists. Additionally, there was no maps or guide of where to go or how to spend the remaining hours in Capri..

Great value for a Capri Day trip

Perfect one day trip to Capri. They have swimming option for extra €15 which is totally worth it, even if you don’t intend to swim since you get to go with a smaller group. All the staff were super helpful and nice.

Amazing experience, must do it with the swimming option! The guides are warm and welcoming. It’s a full day tour (bus picked us up at 7:20am and we didn’t get back until 6pm) so pack a day bag with snacks, plenty of water, and sunscreen. It’s 1.5 hrs from the Naples port to the island of Capri where you are split into groups for different boats, depending if you chose swimming or not. We did the swimming portion and the Mediterranean Sea was unbeatable. Absolutely amazing. The boat tour does a great job showing you around the island and helping you get the best pictures. If you choose to swim, please wear bathing suit underneath. There is no place to change on the boat. The water is warm, salty, and amazing. No fishes around and you can see a few feet under you. When you get to explore the island itself, bring good walking shoes. Food is expensive (it’s an Island) and walking to the top has an incredible view but the sun beats down on you and the stairs are steep.

Good Trip, but needs Communication

Overall, I can look back on this Capri trip fondly. There were a few bumps along the way, however, that created stress and confusion. To start, the meeting points are decided when you book, but they confirm the time they are going to pick you up the day before. Keep in mind they may make several changes to this time the night before... The next day, during pick-up, there are other tours with the same company arriving at the same meeting-place. They have specific busses for certain people, so be sure to pay attention for if and when someone calls your name. From there, you are whisked off to a port. Once there, you have to pay a 2.50 Euro fee per person for Capri before getting your ticket. I was told this must be paid IN CASH. Thankfully a nice lady at a nearby coffee shop helped me out with this, as I don't carry cash when traveling. Then we had to wait for our boat another hour. There is an "American Bar" at the end of the pier that has great coffee and kind service if you need to wait. Once on the boat, it was smooth sailing. It's about an hour ride to Capri, and your tour guide will come around to discuss the itinerary with you. In total, there were about 120 people who were separated into a Swimming and Non-Swimming tour by the color of your wristbands. Once off the boat, that is when they decide which group will do a boat-tour and which are given free time on the island. We were in the Swimming group. If you choose this option, come prepared with your swimsuit on. There is nowhere to change on either boat, and if you'd like to use a bathroom on the dock you have to pay a fee. There is also no guarantee that you are swimming at the start or end of the day. Another review I read had the swimming at the end, but we started our day with this. If you come prepared with your own towel and a bag with a change of clothes, you would be better prepared. The boat tour itself was great. The tour had about 50 people on it, but was still enjoyable. The tour guide Cristiano was kind and funny. The swimming experience was awesome. It lasted a little over an hour. After the boat tour, (or before) you are given the remaining of the day to tour the island. You could take the endless stairs to the center of Capri, or the train and busses to Anacapri. There's lots to do on the island, but keep in mind that none of the excursions are included, and most of the sites require a fee. The way back was another hour of a ferry ride. The disembark was a bit confusing, as there is no guarantee they are dropping you off at the same port you arrived on. You have to pay attention to the tour guide as she will call your name if you are to get off at a certain stop. It was a mad dash to the busses after this, and a whirlwind ride into Naples before being dropped off around 19:00. I did really enjoy the trip, but knowing the itinerary and some more details before would have made the experience less stressful.

Rough ride beautiful island

The day was beautiful however the seas were extremely rough. Always felt safe on the boat however many people were getting sick which is nothing the tour company can do. Unfortunately several places were closed to tour around the island by boat because of the waves. Some people didn’t go around the island bc it was very rough. The actual island was beautiful and we are glad we made the trip despite the sea conditions.

Tour lacked guidance

I felt like this tour mainly provided transport to Capri with little guidance from a tour guide. In fact, we didn’t have a tour guide at all. When were dropped off at the port at Naples, we had to stand and wait for 30 minutes for further directions. Our group was confused, then made our own way to the ferry . When we arrived at Capri, we were given 3h30 of free time. If I wanted free time to stroll around, I would’ve just went by myself instead of booking a tour. Our « guide » sat in the agency office and did her own work. The last part of the tour was a one hour boat ride around the Island, this part was informative and enjoyable. Our guide showed us villas around the island and main sites. Overall, it would be better if you go on your own than through this company. We felt a lack of customer service and attention.

Save you're money

The tour was overbooked. People had to stand on the boat. The history and boat tour of the island was underwhelming. They charge for water and think they are doing you a favor. Once you arrive on the island, they hand you a map and are happy to sell you bus tickets for 20 euro. Then an additional charge of 14 euro for the ticket to take you up funicular. Not to mention that having to leave at an early hour to meet at the "meeting point," there is no signage to know who you are supposed to meet. You spend an additional hour waiting in line to pay a fee. This is the worst experience we've had on ant viator tour. Felt like a total rip off. You have been in transit for at 3-4 hours. They do not even have a toilet. They direct you to a public facility that costs one euro... and, there is no toilet paper. I would never recommend this tour.

Not worth it

Do not do this tour. Take the public ferry and then a small boat from Capri around the island. Do not pay for the hop on/hop off bus. We were sold bus tickets and told it would be a 20 minute wait tops for buses- as we were trying to leave to get back for the return boat- we waited ONE HOUR in a highly stressful situation- buses were completely disorganized and the hop on bus we bought tickets for was not designated as different than the 5 euro public bus. It was complete mayhem, and we almost missed the boat back to Naples. My father and I were yelled at by Italian bus drivers and staff for asking questions and trying to make our boat on time. I asked for a refund for bus tickets and was DENIED, so will be filing complaint with Better business bureau. DO NOT take this tour.

This is a great trip for those people who have limited time to explore Naples and Capri. We had enjoyed the boat tour around the island and they give time for the travellers to explore the island on their own. Plus the tour guides are very polite and nice, I left some stuff in the transport van and got them back safe and sound😊
