Overview

Visit the ruins of ancient Pompeii, buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D. and preserved almost intact for centuries. The tour will give you a glimpse of its inhabitants’ lifestyle and the astonishing number of villas, shops and public buildings that archaeologists brought back to light. Stop along the way to a local factory to learn more about the process of Cameos and Corals craft, jewels made out of corals and seashells. After the visits, drive to the slopes of Mt. Vesuvius for a Mediterranean food and wines tasting and a guided visit along the vineyards to learn more about the Campania Ars Vinearia (the art of making wine). The tour manager will meet you by the nearest pick-up point to your accommodation between 07:45 and 08:30 am (see timetable) and this tour will last approximately 8 hours in total. We really enjoyed this tour. The tour of Pompeii was average, but I didn’t expect much more than that from a 2-hour tour. We obviously couldn’t see all of the important sites in that time, but we enjoyed what we were able to see. The guide was informative, but didn’t have any exceptional knowledge. The wine tasting was truly amazing and was definitely the highlight of this tour. The food was the best we had during our week in Italy. The wine was excellent, and the scenery was amazing. I would definitely recommend this tour if you want to have a well rounded day.

Our guide for Pompeii was excellent; however, it was difficult to hear her as Pompeii was very crowded with other tours led by loud guides not speaking English. It would be nice to have the crowds controlled and stress courtesy for the guides.

We absolutely recommend this tour. So glad we had a guide for pompeii otherwise i would not have had a clue what we were looking at (2 hour tour very informative) quick way to do it and see all the main points. Then onto the cantina del vesuvio vineyard....wow a little slice of absolute heaven. The views, the meals and the wines were absolutely beautiful! The balsamic vinegar was my fave and the white wine, we even bought bottles of each and their olive oil highly recommend this booking. Shout out to Santiago he was very friendly and lovely, and our famous bus driver who was in a movie ahah we even watched a clip of it. Thanks everyone involved it was the highlight of our trip

Pompei and wine tasting was great The 1st bus we had didn’t have A/C It was extremely hot.after Pompei they transferred us to a small bus. The temp had to be over 100 degrees. The driver had air but not the passengers couldn’t even open the windows. I thought I was going to pass out it was so hot my hair was as if I just got out of the shower

Pompeii tour was nice. A condensed informative tour. The gift shop at the beginning was unnecessary and out of place. There was also a long wait between the Pompeii tour and the wine tour. The winery was nice, the food was good. I'd go back to the winery. It was definitely the highlight.

The tour was great - our guide in Pompei was very knowledgeable about life in the city at that time, and she kept us moving throughout without being too rushed. Lunch at the winery afterward was relaxing and we had a fantastic view of Vesuvius.

This was the best tour I've had in naples, and I have been 7 times in the last 15 years. The tour guide at Pompeii was amazing took us go things that were off the beaten path. The luch at the vineyard was hearty and tasty, the wine was amazing and sevice top notch. Easy pick up right at the cruise port.

We really enjoyed our trip. Our tour guide for Pompeii was so nice, and helped us to see the key sites in the most efficient fashion. She was really knowledgeable and answered all our questions. But the highlight was Sorrentivo Vesuvius vineyard. Our lunch was delicious, with fresh tomatoes grown onsite, a tray of hams, cheese and antipasti, followed by pasta and then dessert. Delicjous! The range of wines were all excellent, and the deck area of the restaurant that we ate had such a beautiful view. The tour afterwards with a member of the family (that had been growing grapes there for many generations) was a real bonus. Some parts of the day could have benefited from some better organisation - the bus driver went straight past us waiting at Terminus, and had to come back. And there was a long unnecessary wait at the "coral shop" (scam house) before we were taken to the vineyard. I'd rather have gone to stroll the markets stalls at Pompeii. But overall the trip was really good and totally worthwhile. Thanks team! 🇮🇹❤️🍷

We weren't quite sure what to expect from this since we had never done a guided tour type thing, instead preferring to explore at our own pace. Our Pompeii guide was great, informative and funny, and spoke near-perfect English. It doesn't give you time to see everything (that would take days) but you really get a sense of what the town looked like and some aspects of life there. Pompeii was amazing, but the wine tasting was the highlight of the day. We went during the off season so had the place almost to ourselves, but I'm sure it would be beautiful and serene in warmer weather, even if it means a few more people around. The wine was fantastic and the food might even have been better. I highly recommend this experience!!

This was my second time to Pompeii, but my husbands first. The tour guide was very friendly and provided information to the group. We hit all the main highlights and was a good tour. The highlight of this tour however is the wine tasting. We went to Sorrentino Vineyards and loved every minute we were there. The food was delicious and the wine was spectacular. We are so glad we went.

This was amazing! We got on a bus from the Naples harbor to Pompeii, where there was a large group of people, some going to Herculaneum after Pompeii, others going to Vesuvius, and some going to the Amalfi Coast. Out of the 50 people on the bus, my husband and I were the only ones going to the wine tasting at Sorrentino Vineyard after which was a pleasant surprise! The walk around Pompeii was amazing, very hot in August, but worth it. Our guide gave us a few minutes to walk around the forum by ourselves and carried a pink umbrella so it was easy to find her. She also had amazing stories to tell about what we were seeing. Pompeii was very crowded so if you do not like crowds and get claustrophobic, you might want to consider another option. The wine tasting on the other hand only had about 10 people in total which was a nice change of pace. We had a delicious five course meal and the wines were great! The staff at Sorrentino was so knowledgeable and you can buy bottles there and choose to ship them home to your native country. We walked around the vineyard after was much needed after the large meal. I would highly recommend!

El recorrido en Pompeya de 10, las explicaciones, el tiempo, todo súper. La guía sabía mucho y se daba el tiempo incluso de hablar en otros idiomas (español) para explicar mejor. ¡Muy bien! La cata decepcionante, literalmente nos dejaron en el lugar, nadie dió explicación de los vinos, la comida de regular a mala, no lo vale la verdad. Si es que ofrecen esto, deben hacerlo bien, sino retírenlo de su oferta.
