Luigi our guide was fabulous! He helped us explore, gave us much local and historical information, got us through all the lines and helped us make good decisions on what to do when. Highlights of the tour: Blue Grotto (although it’s a quick in and out), Chairlift to the top of Capri and the boat tour around the island! We named him the King of Capri and we were his loyal and joyful followers! Fantastico! Ask for Luigi!

Phenomenal excursion. Guide Alberto was top notch and made it a very enjoyable day. Saw everything but the Blue Grotto but can see why it’s hard to get into unless perfectly calm day with low water.

Marcella is an absolute gem!

We had a great trip! Marcella went above and beyond to make this a memorable experience for us. We appreciated her ability to navigate the crowds and get us to all of the points of interest with ease. She also worked in a visit to the Blue Grotto despite its limited availability given the waves. Her friendliness and flexibility made this trip for us.

Stick with the group tour

The reason for 3 stars and not 2 is we had perfect weather, our taxi driver was great( open air taxi was so cool) and we able to see the Blue Grotto which is uncertain this time of the year. A couple of downsides, the groups can take a boat to the blue grotto and will get there before the taxi. Wasn't too bad for us but during the busy season I can see it could be a problem with longer lines and wait times. Second , during our afternoon time without the guide her suggestion on a shortcut back ( walking) to the meeting point was not detailed enough and we got lost - which is very easy with the maze of small streets in the town. We missed the ferry we wanted to take back. When parting with our guide we learned she lost another couple and they ended up taking their own ferry back. Our guide laughed at the story however I am sure that couple was not laughing. My advice , save the money in this case and take the group tour.

This may have been the highlight of our entire Italy trip. There was a mistake on our original booking they had us going out of Naples while we were staying in Sorrento. We called the night before and it was quickly fixed. Our guide was OUTSTANDING. He and his family live in Anticapri. He knew so many locals, arranging private rides and a water tour of the island when the Blue Grotto was closed. We even had lunch at a small restaurant near his house where they treated us like family.

Stephanie was wonderful! 4 in our group and she moved us through the island so smoothly. We got off the ferry and headed to the chairlift via convertible car. So fun! We were first on chairlift and had awesome views at top of Ana Capri! She arranged spectacular lunch with awesome views. On to other spots ,ride on funicular to the boat ride around the island. By far our best trip while staying in Sorrento. Stephanie is the best!

Luigi was incredibly organized, fun and funny. He took charge of everything and navigated us away from crowds. He explained the history and island features in an interesting way. Blue Grotto was great!

Great day for an island trip. Sunny skies and not too hot. Our guide was very nice. She gave us plenty of time to enjoy the towns of Anacapri and Capri. The chairlift ride was awesome. The funicular coming down was great too. We skipped the Blue Grotto and chose to do the boat ride around the island. I think it was a better way to use our time there, and the views from the water are amazing. SO blue and clear the Mediterranean waters. Private tours are the best way because you skipped lines and everything runs much faster, therefore you have more time to enjoy everything.

We saw everything we wanted in Capri but only because Luigi our guide directed us. He was knowledgeable and we felt like we were traveling with family. Capri is very crowded and it’s difficult to get around on your own. Hire a guide!

Where do I begin? We had Tiziana and we absolutely LOVED her. Everything went incredibly smooth and she really knew her stuff. When we arrived to the island we were escorted very quickly via Jeep and quickly got to the blue grotto where we beat many other groups attempting to see it! I couldn’t recommend this experience enough. Worth every Penny.

Theresa was the best. Our train from Rome was late to Naples. She worked very hard to connect us with the tour. She became a member of the family. I was there with my two grown sons and we were blown away. Theresa had great knowledge and she also had a sense of what would work for us.

Giorgio was fantastic! Seeing capri and anacapri via private tour was so worth it because it allowed us to see everything without being swept up in heavy crowds or long lines. He brought us to a recommended lunch spot where we had amazing pizza, ravioli and a tasty limoncello spritz. I had said I had a big sweet tooth, so he also walked us to a gelato spot, where I had easily the best gelato of my life. He even gave us alone time to shop and walk around. The blue grotto was closed because of the rough surf but we were able to take a boat tour around the island which was really special! Giorgio was knowledgeable and so friendly, and seeing the island in this way made us love it even more! I can’t recommend this tour enough!

Our tour guide Giorgio is a local from the island which made this experience sooo wonderful. He knew everything about the island. He was punctual, made the most of our time, got us in the blue grotto and the chairlift fast and still gave us plenty of time to eat lunch, shop and check out the island. This tour was worth every penny. Nothing you have to do, just sit back and enjoy!

My husband and I were initially supposed to go with another couple but they cancelled so it was just the two of us and our guide- Mikel. He was so friendly and was able to get through all the main attractions before the crowds arrived so we never waited in line for long. Capri was our favorite tour of the trip because it was private and the activities were amazing. Mikel recommended a restaurant for us to eat at and it was delicious. Highly recommend this tour!!

The Guide was unbelievably great, personable, knowledgeable, he took great care of us being almost first in line for the blue grotto and chairlift which enable to see and experience both towns, gardens, views, meal without a crowd. My highest recommendation!

The blue grotto was an amazing sight to see. Using tiny wooden boats to enter a hole less then a meter wide was quite the thrill. Even though you’re in there for about ten minutes, the rowers keep u entertained with their melodic singing. Next was the cable car up to the highest viewing point of the island. The view was amazing but the ride up was definitely my favourite part. On the other hand, this trip wasn't worth the price as the only thing you do after that is shop in two different parts of the island. Maybe a boat ride across the amalfi coast would have justified the steep price
