A great day in the Phlegrean Fields, with an extra bonus by the driver

Our driver, Antonio Bacchetta, did a great job taking us to all of the sites, each of which was fascinating. (Note the Solfatara can only be viewed from outside, because there has been a shameful delay in reopening the site.) On the way back to town, Antonio went out of his way to find a shop specializing in hard-to-find Neapolitan foods; my friend was very pleased, and he even helped her communicate with the store owners, who had about as much English as my friend had Italian. This was truly a memorable experience.

La excursión es muy, muy recomendable. Esta parte de la costa es incluso más auténtica que la costa Amalfitana porque está menos explotada por el turismo. El volcano solfatara impresionante con sus fumarolas y barro hirviendo. El anfiteatro de CUMA, sorprende porque es muy grande y se encuentra entre los tres mejor conservados de Italia. Baia y Pozzuoli tienen unas ruinas muy interesantes. Genial nuestro guía y conductor Antonio de Into the Amalfi Coast. Nos dejaba todo el tiempo que quisiéramos en cada parada y nos hizo sugerencias muy interesantes durante la visita. Fue muy puntual y super agradable todo el viaje. Un 10 para él y para la excursión.
