Amazing Experience

Our guide to Taj Mahal and all of Agra was Salim Khan. We were so happy to explore Taj and Agra Fort, this place is so beautiful than what you see online. Worth the visir and money. This tour agency Keeper Landwey is very efficient, and Salim is excellent on the historical background. I encourage all travelers to try the Golden Triangle tour and book with Keeper Landwey!

Great way to spend a day in Agra

My review is solely based on my family’s trip through Agra and our time with our guide Kaif. Not only was he knowledgeable of Agra history and culture, he was efficient and incredibly professional. We were unable to pre purchase tickets to some attractions bc of issues using Indian websites and he helped purchase tickets for us. He also helped my family with taking some group photos and he had a great eye for angles of the sites. I would highly recommend him if anyone is ever passing through Agra to see the Taj Mahal, Red Fort or other sites in the area.

Brajesh and Babban were EXCELLENT! Other than Taj Mahal this was by far the best part of the trip. Love the views from the palaces on the hills andcity of Jaipur. Would recommend for any expats coming to India. Keeper Landwey and Brajesh are a must if it is your first time here!!!

In Agra we got up early to get to the Taj and it’s worth the effort, less crowds for sure and time for photos and to wander before the heat of the day. Kaif was our guide in Agra, very good knowledge and easy to understand. We also saw the red fort and went to have the best Chai I’ve had in 5 weeks in India. We hope the rest of our tour is as good as Delhi and Agra have been. Not the cheapest option but I think is worth spending a bit more as I will only be here once. I’m glad I booked with them..

We had a great time doing the tour. Everything was well organised. The monuments were great. On our day in agra we had Arham as our guide who was very friendly and had a good knowledge of everything. My Agra guide Tariq is extremely knowledgeable and provided interesting details at Taj Mahal and the Red Fort. He also took many terrific shots of me that will bring back great memories. Vikas, my driver for the entire journey was very nice and considerate. He saved the day for me when I realized at hotel checkin that I had scheduled the wrong day in Jaipur. The hotel and neighboring ones were full. He helped me to get into a good hotel for the evening and was very gracious despite it being my error.

Would have been a Perfect Tour if only it was executed as planned!!!

The Golden Triangle Tour is one of the most popular tours in India offered by various vendors. We booked the Keeper Landwey tour (also offered by same agency under few other names such as Amin Tours). Excellent communication during tour planning. Had same driver throughout the trip and he was humble and never pushy. The hotels we stayed at were nice with daily buffet breakfast and dinner serving pretty good local as well as western dishes. Due to the hectic schedule we were unable to enjoy the hotels as much as we would have liked to. The attractions themselves were fascinating and worth visiting. We would have enjoyed the tour much better if we did it with a less hectic schedule but definitely the tour is a time-efficient way to do as much as possible in a short time. We had different tour guides for each city with mixed experiences in terms of communication, ability to take pictures, pressure us to do the inevitable commission activities for meals and 'so called attractions'. **AGRA guide was the smoothest talker but most unethical and the following are only few examples. The first thing he tried to do was convince us that Agra fort and Fatehpur Sikri are both forts and it is not worth going to both. Though we were running late, he even tried to force us to go to a factory which makes handicrafts made by descendants of the workers who built the Tajmahal as it was a 'required part of the tour'. In my opinion he did his best to waste as much time as possible to avoid going to Fatehpur Sikri (saved the agency ticket fees and guide fees)....and he was successful. **DELHI guide: We were picked up from the hotel next to airport by driver who drove us past several attractions on the way to meet the guide at Bangla Sahib gurudwara to start the tour stating that he is given an itinerary by the company and that he can't deviate from it. Then he took us to old city to see Jama Masjid and spent way too much time followed by a Tuk-Tuk tour of old city lasting about 40 minutes (too long, too bumpy and waste of valuable time). Then we drove by the same attractions we passed coming from hotel to meet guide but now with the guide again. This left us very little time to see the main attractions before leaving for Agra. He tried to steer us to free attractions instead of the main and ticketed ones such as Humayun Tomb or Qutub minar. In the end, due to lack of time we couldn't go to Qutub minar. Same opinion as above. Retrospectively the guide should have met as at the hotel and finished the New Delhi attractions first ending the tour in Old Delhi. **Sunrise visit to TAJMAHAL: As romantic as it sounds, if there is any fog the previous day DON’T GO early in the morning. Eat breakfast before going out. Insist on doing a different attraction first such as the fort where you could at least see something. It started lifting around 11AM. A fellow tourist showed her pictures where the Taj was not even visible due to dense fog and her guide insisted on staying with the itinerary. What a disappointment. This is common during the winter months which happens to be the peak tourist season. **JAIPUR: We wised up by now, though a bit too late on how previous guides wasted our time and insisted upfront that we expected to cover the listed attractions by a certain time. The guide complied and was most respectful of our time. He even sent us to a very nice and clean local restaurant for lunch. **TIPS for future travelers: ---Car: make sure the car you are getting is spacious enough. Generally the row of seats behind driver is comfortable for 2 people. The 3rd row is too cramped up for adults of all sizes during long drives between cities. Retrospectively we would have paid extra for a larger vehicle ----Attraction ticket prices: Foreigners are charged a much higher fee, but OCI card holders are charged the same price as local Indians. ----Reviews: Similar to other posts, it was at the least annoying for every guide and the company to be in your face, insisting on writing a review then and there. If there is no need for you to go to their office in Agra, don’t go as it eats up valuable time. ----MY ADVICE: Make sure you set your expectations upfront when you book your tour as well with the guide first thing in the morning. I'm sure there are 'once in a life time' attractions where you could be there forever but unfortunately you have limited amount of time. It is the travel agency and the guide's responsibility to cover all the listed attractions, unless the tourist makes an informed decision to skip a site or two. Bus and Cruise tours do it every day. Don't fall for 'take as much time as you would like to enjoy the place' or these are 'similar attractions so pick one'. Find out how much time you have at each place and stick to the schedule. There is no reason to spend 15 minutes on a bench for the guide to explain the history behind an attraction when he could have done it standing in the long line. Based on how often it happened to us, as well as similar experiences of fellow travelers, attempts to skip attractions appears to be a methodical practice. As far as lunch goes, we did the best in terms of taste, cost and time spent when we insisted on going to the restaurants we had previously researched as opposed to the ones picked by the guides. This could very well be a common practice in the industry but tourists have to watch out. Despite all the above we had a great time in general and the only reason I mentioned above is for the benefit of future travelers.

We have been blessed by our wonderful guide Salim Khan who not only is knowledge about the historical and cultural facts of the places he took us to but he's also a top class photographer and helped us took many memorable pictures to remember our great trip .
