This is a 2 hour leisurely walking tour about the homes and restaurants in the Garden District. The guide was knowledgeable. If you are looking for a faster-paced tour, this may not be the right one for you. The tour was okay but we thought there were too many people, was too slow, and it wasn’t the history we wanted to learn. If you wanna go on a tour of the garden district, they architecture is absolutely beautiful, but I would ask what type of history is included, And how long the tour is before booking.
Fascinating tour!!

David was a fabulous tour guide who was obviously passionate about New Orleans history and culture. I will definitely recommend this tour to others.
Your guide matters

The tour/houses was nice but SUPER disappointed that it does NOT include tour of cemetery. Wasnt told until morning of that the cemetery was closed to the public since 2017! Was sent a group chat and responded then a nasty Karen on the tour brought up convo said I demanded my money back. This isnt even what happened.... I was offered my money back twice, then said Ok Ill take a refund. I received the confirmation of cancelation but never got refund. We called company and said we'd go.... since we didnt get refund. The tour guide, while super nice, had no idea about the tour. She was reading from her ipad the entire time and couldn't really answer questions. Then told us it was her first tour that wasn't the haunted tour. Kind of annoyed at the entire experience

Learning about the cemetery and how the family crypts are used as well as the architectural differences of the different styles…

There was a lot of history and information imparted which was great. A few in our group were worn out before the end of the tour (in their upper 70’s) because there is nowhere to sit and rest for a moment. I’m not sure given that we’re touring mostly neighborhoods how you could accommodate that but it would be great if there was somewhere we could sit for a few minutes an hour into the tour
Great tour

Randy, our tour guide was fantastic. He was knowledgeable and very entertaining. Even not being Ankle to enter the cemetery did not take away from the trip.

Dave was a great tour guide. Tour was on time and meeting spot was easy to find. He gave us lots of fun facts and pointed out many familiar houses.
Fun but also based on actual history
Karl_W, Feb 2024
Busting myths and edifying instead of just talking about legends and stories that aren’t based on any kind of facts .
Very disappointed
Ellen_M, Feb 2024
Nobody showed, the tour was cancelled and nobody told us until I called. Still waiting for my money to be refunded.

Great tour that covered the history of the garden district and New Orleans at large. Heard about the neighborhood’s architecture, culture, and famous residents past & present. Dave Roberts was our guide, he was great! Knew a ton and was lighthearted in sharing it.
