What To Expect

Meet up with your guide at the United Nations in the afternoon, beginning the two-hour tour with a stroll down 42nd Street. Check out the apartment of the Green Goblin, and take a trip past the Daily News Building, used as a filming location in the original ‘Superman’ film starring Christopher Reeve.

You’ll then get a ‘behind-the-scenes’ look at a bar known as a famous hangout for New York’s comic artists. Also along 42nd Street are the Chrysler Building and Grand Central Terminal (with ‘Stark Tower’ looming nearby).

Continue along Park Avenue, stopping to explore the historic heart of ‘Publishers’ Row,’ birthplace of some of the world’s most famous comics. You’ll see the location of the offices of Will Eisner and Bob Kane, and then see filming locations used in TV shows like ‘Gotham’ and ‘Daredevil.’

Throughout the trip, you’ll hear plenty of fascinating stories and insights into comic book history from your guide, including details about how Kryptonite was created, where Batman was saved from cancellation, and the location of keepsake left behind for NYC by The Avengers.

Patrick was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He entertained us with a plethora of details about superhero origin stories, movies, tv shows and comics. We visited several locations where movies were filmed. My 21 year old superhero fan loved the tour and asked our guide lots of questions. Fun way to spend a couple of hours in NYC!

We really enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide, Percy, was full of knowledge about comic books, related movies and New York in general. With some good humour thrown in too. Our 14 year old said it was his favourite part of the vacation so that's high praise indeed.

Enjoyed the tour for most of the information and details. Loved details on how buildings were filmed. How surroundings were changed. Tr Sometime too much details. Sometimes not as much fact as we wanted. I think the main thing was that when we booked the tickets the person stated it would be about Central Park rather than the buildings in the city. Loved being on park Avenue.

You start at UN with Wonder Woman and bondage. Walk to the apt building of Green Goblin in Spider Man 1. The church of Daredevil. Daily Planet. Grand Central Station, where the famous Avengers scene - Bruce Banner arrives on his motorcycle. The Chrysler building where Thor called lightning in Avengers. Finishing with the Marvel HQ and the JC comics store. Luke is highly knowledgeable and entertaining. Clearly has a a passion for his craft. And he sings the theme songs! Not really for kids under 18 simply because it’s more about history but if adult “Avengers assemble!”
