Eiffel Tower is Amazing, Carefully Research When and Who to Guide You

Of course, the Eiffel Tower is a must see in Paris! It was difficult to find the guide as we were just coming off a plane and instructions were not provided ahead of exactly where the guide would be and what he was wearing. We had to figure it out once we arrived. It was also FREEZING and though I understand the weather was not the guide's responsibility, there should have been consideration given that there were many of us traveling with small children. The lack of care shown is just not appreciated overall as we are the customers.

It sounds like your experience at the Eiffel Tower had some challenges, especially with finding the guide and dealing with the cold weather. Clear instructions are provided on our direct tour page, but have noticed when 3rd parties buy our spots and sell them to clients like you, this information is lost. We have sent complaints to Viator too about this error. Your feedback about communication and customer care is important for the organizers to consider for future tours. Henry was an AWeSOME guide with so much knowledge that he shared with the group, thought we may not get to the summit as top was full so he changed our tour to tell us information and stories before we made our way up and during that time the summit reopened and we were able to go all the way up. Thank you Henry.

OUr tour guide was more than 20 minutes late. Then we were told our tour was canceled due to the Eiffel Tower steps closing so we could not go up. They didn’t even offer to get us tickets for the elevator ride up the Tower. They offered two separate times for he next day none of which were at sunset which is what we were supposed to do.

Not worth the money, paying over an extra 30 euros each to be told about basic facts of the history of the tower. Queued for an hour and guide left half way through. Just pay for priority access skip the line entry and swerve the guided tour. They made 200 euros off of me for absolutely nothing. Also beware this company are taking bookings under several different company names.

Worth the Money and the Climb

Rémi, our tour guide, was amazing. He knew so many interesting facts and he was able to answer all our questions. He also made great recommendations for other excursions in Paris. Request him if you can. Climb was challenging, but well worth it!! He was incredibly patient with all the different levels of fitness. Very inclusive

This tour was run by a company called The tour Guy. This was a decent experience but certain aspects were misleading. Communication was good with a pre tour text a few days prior (albeit to change the time which thankfully didn’t affect our plans). We waited near the meeting spot only to text the tour leader who was nearby but not exactly at the meeting spot. That was fine in the end. Our guide Henry who was a freelance guide employed by The Tour Guy was a standout enthusiastic highlight of the tour. When we arrived on site the summit was closed which was disappointing but Henry assured us that we had a good chance to get to the top. When the tour advertises summit access and charges a pretty penny for this (what we thought would be a guarantee) when it is not guaranteed, this is not right. But thanks to Henry’s intimate knowledge of the workings of the site we made it to the top. And his enthusiasm took away some of the sting of seriously overpaying for Eiffel Tower tickets. Just know there’s a chance you may not summit even though you may assume this is guaranteed. We had a good experience and accepted that we overpaid. Buyer beware.

You can buy tickets at the gate. Don’t need to buy here and pay extra money. Guide was good but walking up 2 floors is not worth it

Horrible Experience- Left with no tickets and no tour for the Eiffel Tower

We booked through Viator, had our tickets and confirmation. When we got to the meeting place we were told there was a mixup and they did not have a reservation on the books for that day, but they could accommodate us a few days later. We were only in Paris for 1 full day and that did not work. They were totally indifferent to their screw-up, did not care and offered zero solutions. Don't waste your time or money.

My flight was cancelled and they wouldn’t refund my tickets even though it was out of my control. I asked for another day that I had available and they responded twice but never rebooked. I was charged and never got to do the climb.

PROS: Henry, our guide, he was amazing. Very knowledgeable and engaged with our entire group including our 7yo grandson (even though he wouldn't share his pretzel) :-) It was fun walking up to 2nd level, despite being hard work :-) CONS: Bit on the pricey side, given the actual cost of the tickets. ADVICE: Meeting point is right of the carousel, top of the stairs, look out for small red flag TOUR GUY

Never found the guide and didn’t get to go

Never found the guide even though some of us got there early. The rest of us were just like three minutes late and our guide didn’t respond with specifics on where to meet in a very hectic area. I ended up buying my lien tickets another day from the official Eiffel Tower and it was easy.
