Private -but not skip

This was private, BUT you do not skip the line. I called and they refunded my 1/2 for the mess up and I do hope they fix this on the website as it is a misrepresentation.

Dear Lori, Thank you for your feedback. We apologize that the website on Viator has misrepresented the experience. We have since had them correct our description. Indeed, the Louvre does not sell skip the line tickets, but reserved timed tickets. While not technically skip the line, the reserved entry tickets do make the wait rather brief. As always, even at sites which offer skip the line, there can be a slight wait while proceeding through mandatory security checks. Unfortunately, this cannot be avoided. We are pleased to know that otherwise you had enjoyed your experience at the Louvre with your tour guide. Thank you for your understanding, and for your valued feedback.

The guide through the highlights of the Louvre Museum and the history of the Louvre was both interesting and expeditious — both of which were important as we tried to enjoy and keep the attention of our 3 children aged 16, 15 and 12. Claire was a pro and handled the unexpected malfunctioning of her audio amplifier with grace and ease and tried her best to ensure we still were able to see and hear about the important parts of the Louvre. Her passion for both the art and the history was obvious and enthusiastically and authentically shared. 4 stars vs 5 star rating given due to the audio malperformance.

This was the worst tour we have experienced while in Paris. Astrid was our guide and she spoke very broken English. She rushed us through the museum and criss crossed the museum so that alot of time was spent running from thing to thing. At 30 minutes remaining ON MY PRIVATE TOUR that I had PAID FOR - she says she is late for her next tour and just leaves us. I ask her for our tickets before she departs and she says she cannot give them to us for a reason that I could not understand. She quickly departs and My husband and I are left inside the museum to figure it out ourselves. If we wanted to leave and eat - we could not as we could not return due to no tickets. We suspected she took our tickets so she could use them for her next tour. I was highly disappointed in this tour and reported it to viator and have heard nothing back. If you get Astrid as a guide - make sure you get your tickets from her!

Our guide Sebastian was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and took care to get to know us which in turn allowed him to curtail our tour a bit. He spent more time in the areas where we had interest and was happy to accommodate when we didn’t want to stand in line for a better view of the Mona Lisa. We really enjoyed the level of detail and hitting the highlights in a shorter time. Perfect tour for us.

Nuestra guía Ruth, fue excelente, estuvo a tiempo en el sitio acordado. Nos llevó a través de las distintas salas del museo explicando con mucho conocimiento y detalle (ella es Historiadora de Arte!), las obras más icónicas, incluyendo la Venus de Milo, la Victoria Alada, la Libertad guiando al pueblo y por supuesto la Mona Lisa.
