What To Expect

Your day trip starts with hotel pickup in Paris by minivan for the drive out of the city and into Champagne, the French wine region home to storied bubbly producers such as Moët & Chandon, your first stop. During the journey, listen to commentary from your guide covering the history of and interesting facts about the region.

When you arrive at Moët & Chandon, in the village of Epernay, enjoy a tour of the facilities to learn about the production process and see the Champagne cellars. Then cap off this experience with a guided tasting session. If Moët & Chandon is unavailable, visit another luxury house instead, such as G.H. Mumm or Veuve Clicquot.

Then stroll through Epernay and listen to commentary from your guide about the history of the region and other Champagne cellars in the region. Visit a small winery and learn about the production process before sampling a few varieties of their Champagne.

You also visit the village of Hautvillers, to hear the story about the monk who lived in a Benedictine abbey "created" the bubbly drink that has become so famous. Learn about the history of its namesake and the history of how Champagne was actually created.

Your tour ends with a 3-course lunch of local dishes such as foie gras, cheese, Reims ham with fruit, and Reims specialty pink cookies, paired with four types of Champagne.

At the conclusion of your time in the region, relax on the return drive to Paris for hotel drop-off.

Bubbly Fun!
MJ_F, Apr 2024
Tomer is a wonderful guide. Picked up from my hotel in Paris and the van was comfortable for a small group of 7. The tour was much more than drinking delicious champagne, we experienced the history and culture of the Champagne region. The lunch was top notch experience of fine dining. This day trip is a highlight of my trip to Paris!
Great trip!

We had a wonderful time! TJ was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We learned so much about champagne and what to look for in our next bottle.
Great trip, Highly recommended!

Small group became a private tour, and it was amazing!! Our guide (Michael?, sorry) was fantastic. Picked us up and we were the only two clients he had that day(to our benefit). Very knowledgeable and explain to us everything about Champagne, the region, grapes, how to make it, history etc. We became experts!! We visited two Houses, one with lunch included, and he also stooped in a beautiful area and made me open a bottle with a sword, just like Napoleon used to do!! Amazing trip!!

David was a great organizer. He even had a fantastic surprise for us at the end. It was a great day out.
Be specific of your stops at the Champagne houses.
Sheila_R, Dec 2023
We did not visit the Champagne Houses we signed up for. The guide was great! Did not receive all the tastings we paid for.
Response from Host, Dec 2023
After conducting a our investigation and speaking with the clients who traveled with you in the same car, they confirmed that everyone had three tastings. One tasting was at the Veuve Clicquot vineyard with a tour, and the other was at the House of Dom Gudron with a tour. Additionally, you had an outdoor tasting where you sampled Crémant and Champagne. A three-course lunch was also provided at a restaurant. Therefore, we have concluded that you received everything as advertised on the tour package. We do apologize if there was any misunderstanding, but what was promised in the description was indeed provided.
Long Day, Great Experience
LYDIA_J, Nov 2023
We had a wonderful champagne experience with our tour guide Tomer. He was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating to our group. We went to a small champagne house as our first stop. The wine was good and the story and process of champagne making was enchanting. Afterwards Tomer took us to a great French restaurant. The 4-course meal was delicious and filling. The restaurant was elegant looking and very clean. We drove through many picturesque vineyards, small town plazas. We had a small tasting at a vineyard in Hauteville and then headed over to Reims for a tasting Veuve Clicquot. Before the actual tasting we were guided through the Cellars/caves of Veuve. Afterwards Toman drove us back to our hotels. It was a long day but didn't feel drawn out.

Jo was a great tour guide. She knows her art! Jo knew everything about Vincent Van Gogh. Learning how his art portrayed his life stages was wild
Awesome experience
Eric_L, Oct 2023
Our tour guide/driver/everything was David and he was really friendly and nice. He was really knowledgeable about everything relating to the history of the monuments we saw and champagne we drank. On top of that, he went above and beyond with showing us really cool views for photos. 10/10 experience without a doubt and this tour is something we will do again in the future.
Poor communication
Teran_S, Sep 2023
Tour company never called us to say they weren’t coming. We waited in our hotel lobby for an hour for our early morning pickup and called our tour company but got voicemail. Finally got through and they said they’d call us back, they didn’t. Horrible customer service we missed having a day in Reims because no other days were available!
Response from Host, Sep 2023
Dear Teran, We sincerely apologize for the unfortunate situation you experienced during your tour booking and subsequent arrangements. We deeply regret that we were unable to meet you at the hotel as planned and conduct your tour in Reims, including the wine tasting and cave visits. We want to clarify the circumstances that led to this disappointment. Our company was scheduled to pick you up from the hotel and facilitate your tour in Reims. However, we encountered a significant challenge due to the contact number provided in the reservation, which belonged to your agent. We attempted to contact the agent to confirm the hotel details and the pickup time, but unfortunately, we were unable to reach them. This difficulty arose either because the agent's phone number was incorrect or due to the time zone difference, making it nighttime in America when we were trying to reach them in the morning. As a result, we were unable to coordinate the pickup from the hotel and proceed with the planned tour. We understand the frustration and inconvenience this must have caused, and we genuinely regret this situation. To avoid similar issues in the future, we kindly urge you to ensure that your agent provides a correct and accessible contact number that corresponds to your location and tour schedule. Clear communication is essential to us, and we want to ensure a seamless experience for all our clients. Once again, we apologize for this unfortunate incident and appreciate your understanding. We value your trust in our services and sincerely hope for the opportunity to host you on a tour in the future, providing you with the exceptional experience you. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused by the unfortunate situation during your tour booking, and we appreciate your understanding as we address the issue. Despite the circumstances not being within our control, we have decided to provide a full refund for your trip. Best regards, Viktor
So. Much. Champagne!
AdrienneColeman, Sep 2023
A ton of fun! We had a great group and a great tour guide. We didn't get to see the wineries of Moet and Veuve Cliquet but our guide said he could at least take us to the shops so we could do some shopping. Which was AMAZING! So we had 2 tours at 2 different wineries, lunch, 3 pit stops at for shopping (Moet, Veuve and Pomerey) and 2 extra bottles of champagne in between all of this. We had an absolute blast!
Perfect day!
Brenda_R, Sep 2023
Perfect weather, great company, and our guide has a wonderful way of making everyone feel welcome and teaching is about the champagne culture and history.

Champagne trip with Tom

Tom our guide was awesome. We had a great time and really enjoyed the champagne vineyards and lunch.
Unforgettable Day in the Champagne region!
Nicole_K, Sep 2023
Such a fantastic day with our guide, Tomer! We would have never had the same experience on our own. He made sure we were educated on the area, ensured we were comfortable at all times and made the entire days an unforgettable family memory. This was our best day in France by far!
Great Day learning about Champagne
Joanna_W, Aug 2023
We learned a lot about champagne! Our guide, Dalton, was super informed about champagne and the area. He gave us a lot of info beyond the tours at the wineries. Nice to be in a small group (6) and lunch was great. The scenery was spectacular. It was a long day though… we would suggest skipping the cathedral at Reims (memorable as it was) or the stop at Moet Chandon to get back to Paris sooner.
Extraordinary French countryside Champagne Tour
Michael_S, Aug 2023
Our tour guide, Sebastian, made all the difference in having a nice experience to having an extraordinary experience. From the early morning pick up to an unexpected after hours drop off, he provided the best of attention and service from giving us great information about the champagne region to being flexible with the itinerary. Last stop with a blind champagne tasting overlooking the beautiful country side will not be forgotten. Sebastian is a delightful person dedicated to ensuring the best experience! We highly recommend this tour.
Perfect way to see Champagne country side
Amy_B, Aug 2023
Mom and I had an all day fantastic experience in 5 different Champagne houses. Our guide Sebastian was on time, interesting, knowledgeable and very attentive. His spots were perfect and could not have asked for a better Champagne experience. Highly recommend!
Great Day in Champagne
john_r, Jul 2023
Incredible area of France. Our guide, Dalton, did an outstanding job explaining the history of the region; showing us what was growing through out the valley from atop a hillside - standing within the mass expanse of grapevines; and he gave us great value in teaching us the steps & processes of champagne creation. We had tastings at 2-champagne houses and a great French lunch in-between those stops. This is an incredibly beautiful application of France - not to be missed!
