A solid food tour offering the classic cuisine and a pleasant walk through the Latin Quarter and St. Germain. The guide was friendly and pleasant. There could have been a bit more history on Julia to add some flavor. I would recommend.

Normally the guide walks at a relaxed pace adequate for a group tour, and in this case she tried her best to accommodate the tour to your rhythm, to slow down as much as possible, and to stop and sit if necessary. We got lucky and the other party cancelled so it was just my husband and I that did a tour. Our tour guide so extremely knowledgeable, funny and provided so many helpful tips around the city! We learned a lot about Julia Child and enjoyed eating our way through the city!

Following in the footsteps of Julia with Sylvana was a memorable experience. Sylvana weaved history and Julia’s story together masterfully. This walking tour had 6 stops with the final stop at an excellent cafe for wine and cheese. The tastings at each stop were delicious! We appreciated Sylvana’s knowledge and passion for the food and culture of Paris. Great experience!

Triss was such an a friendly, informative guide. Not only did we learn how so much about Julia’s life in Paris, but many interesting facts about the settlement and history of the city. We now know how to buy the best baguette and find the best restaurants and cafes in Paris. It was a delightful tour and I highly recommend it.

What a great tour! Lulu met us right on time and shared it was just the 2 of us so we had a private tour! We enjoyed every minute walking around Paris, learning about Julia Child, and seeing the places she loved. We sampled Les choux, crepes, chocolates, quiche, wine, and cheeses. All wonderful! Lulu’s the best and made our last day in Paris very special. Merci!!

A great trip eating through Paris following in the footsteps of Julia Childs

We had a great time with Tris (a classically trained chef himself) leading us through the streets of Paris as Julia Childs would have on a typical day. We started off at the Shakespeare & Company bookstore, where Childs bought her first copy of a cookbook on French cuisine (in English), followed "her footsteps" through the winding streets of Paris to taste galettes, crepes, baguettes, eclairs, chocolates, and her favorite glass of French wine in the brasserie down the street from her Parisian apartment. The tour was fascinating (and delicious), and we thank Tris for a great introduction to Julia Chids' life and the foods that she loved so much.

Chef Tris was outstanding!! He explained the history, culture, and food of Paris perfectly. Not only did he take on a Julia Child experience, he also led us through Parisian history and culture. We loved (and would recommend) doing this tour early in your stay in Paris so that you can use all the knowledge that you soak up for the rest of your trip. Chef Tris helped us pick great restaurants and bakeries for the remainder of our trip. We cannot recommend this tour enough. The food was delicious. Every bite! Chef Tris answered every question we had but also gave us so many stories that made the day so enjoyable.

Good food and lots of footsteps

Friendly and informative guide who included photos of stops along the way from about same years that Julia Child spent in Paris. Food was wonderful start with an empty stomach because the portion of each tasting is large. Be prepared for lots of footsteps! Not for the mobility challenged. But walk through lovely streets with cafes and parks.
