    A:No. Our vehicles are very safe and we leave the minimum age to the discretion of parents or guardians. All riders under the age of 18 must wear a DOT-approved safety helmet which we provide.

    A:Drivers must be 16* years or older with a valid Driver’s License to operate a Tomcar. (*Minor drivers, defined as 16 and 17-year-olds, with a valid driver's license may operate the Tomcar with Parents Assumption of Financial Liability.)

    A:Our tours are “rain or shine”, so we recommend that all of our guests dress accordingly. During the winter months, it can be very chilly in the morning or after the sun goes down. Please come prepared (hats, gloves, etc.).

    A:Yes. The Sonoran Desert is a gorgeous place. You will encounter some breathtaking views and will probably want to capture these memories by taking pictures. Also, our guides are more than happy to take pictures with your camera upon request.

    A:Our tours depart “rain or shine”. Please dress for the weather and expect the time of your lives. Our guests are (mostly) sheltered from the rain in their Tomcars however, you will probably get a little wet if it rains.

    A:There are no restrooms once we are out in the desert. We recommend that guests use facilities located within the RoadRunner Saloon prior to departure.

    A:Tomcars weigh just under 1,800 lbs, boast independent front and rear suspension systems, and have a wide wheelbase making them one of the safest off-road vehicles in the World. And all of our Tomcars are equipped with a 4-point safety harness system.

    A:Most of our Tomcars are 4 seaters. Groups of 3 or 4 will have their own private car. Depending on the mix of guests that we have, a group of 2 may or may not have another group of 2 in their car.

    We are visiting from Chicago for our son's spring break. We had an awesome experience navigating the winding uphill and downhill desert trails and different terrain. Learning about the plants and animals was a plus! Very adventurous! We would do it again! Thanks Derrick!

    Great adventure! There were several spots along the way so everyone in our party had the opportunity to drive and look at landscape around us! Beautiful and exhilarating experience! Our tour guide Bo was awesome! We felt safe and he was very knowledgeable.
    Rock runs were wild! Be ready for serious Off road. Not for the weak!

    The trip included rough and tumble (my head hit the frame and it hurt for a day) no holds barred rock runs and then we stopped for a desert talk. The phased approach worked a lot better than straight through. Staff very helpful AND the rock runs were challenging! My engineer son lives inside and this was his first trip in an ATV. Showed him a whole new world. (I made him drive). Saw lots of kids but all in their teens. Nobody got held back. If you were up to it, they tossed you right in! Great adventure but NOT for the fate of heart. This isn't Grandma's outing. I'M GOING BACK.

    The weather was very bad, heavy rain, and the company only cared about their pay. I had fully mudded clothes and this ruined my whole trip to Phoenix. They know the weather is bad, and they should accept the cancellation. VERY Disappointed

    Ammar, we are very sorry that you didn’t enjoy your experience with us. Being that we are an outdoor adventure, our tours go out in different weather conditions everyday. That’s part of the adventure! We are a “rain or shine” event, as marketed on our website and TripAdvisor. We absolutely don’t hide that fact, and many of our guests enjoy when we have rainy weather. We do cancel tours if the weather presents a safety risk for our guests, or the equipment. However, that day there was no risk because of the weather. We were not asked to cancel. Someone who booked the tour for you (they weren’t with you) used their contact info for the booking so we couldn’t speak directly to you. They did email us asking about the tour, but we told them we go out rain or shine. Because you booked through TripAdvisor/Viator, your tour was not able to be canceled per the booking policy listed on the page. However, you never expressed concern with us, asked to he rescheduled, or even actually requested a cancelation. So, to say we only care about the money would be egregiously incorrect. We can’t address your concerns if your concerns aren’t presented to us. We absolutely care about our guests and their experience. That is our absolute top priority along with safety. But again, we are an outdoor adventure company and all of our activities are outdoors in the weather Mother Nature provided that day. In the future, if you have a concern, please make that known ahead of time. It’s a bit unfair to have my hands tied when we receive a 1 star review without ever knowing you had a concern.
