Had the best time! We had Rafael as our tour guide and Thor the driver. These guys were top notch. Rafael was very knowledgeable, helpful and funny. We had a large group that are all friends. We went to Tulum which was great. In Akumal we saw a couple of turtles and the cenote was awesome. We loved being the Rafa-people and I would highly recommend this tour. There is some walking and swimming. The van was air conditioned and the equipment was all in good condition.

Such a great time! 10 out of 10
April_C, Mar 2024
This was the best tour. Mark was great and very knowledgeable. We did the ruins first and the guide there taught us so much. Be prepared to walk at ruins. Swimming the turtles was amazing. We saw 2 turtles and 1 stingray. The cenote was great. We swam in an underground one inside a cave. An amazing experience. The guide was great. Will do this again.
Response from Host, Apr 2024
It sounds like you had an incredible experience on your tour! Mark's knowledge and guidance surely made the trip even more enjoyable. Exploring the ruins first and learning from the guide there must have been fascinating, albeit requiring some walking. Swimming with turtles and encountering a stingray sounds like an unforgettable experience. And exploring a cenote inside a cave adds an extra layer of adventure to the journey. Thank you for sharing your positive feedback! Laura OCEAN TOURS
Best Tour Ever!
Julie_K, Mar 2024
We absolutely loved the cenote and the authentic lunch portion. The entire tour was phenomenal. Our guide Miguel and driver Carlos were the best. Miguel was funny and patient. He added details and life when we were at the Mayan ruins. We've done many tours from Mexico City to Europe and this was the best in terms of guides and content.
Response from Host, Mar 2024
It's fantastic to hear that you had such a wonderful experience during the cenote visit and the authentic lunch portion of the tour! Miguel and Carlos seem to have made a significant impact on your journey, with Miguel's humor, patience, and attention to detail enriching your exploration of the Mayan ruins. Being seasoned travelers who have experienced tours around the world, your praise for this excursion's guides and content truly speaks volumes. It's clear that the combination of knowledgeable guides and captivating content made this tour stand out among your previous experiences. Best regards Laura OCEAN TOURS
Truly memorable Cenote Experience
Leslie_M, Feb 2024
Floating in the Cenote was truly a memorable experience. The water was cold but you are in caves looking at the unique limestone formations! We saw a couple of sea turtles, a stingray and eel along with fish while snorkeling. There is a wait on the beach as you have to wait for another group to have their safety briefing . We were in separate boats and groups so not sure why we had to wait. There were 14 of us twelve French Canadians and the two of us Americans. Our tour guide Homero was really great and bi lingual but he had to talk to us first ,then the French group or vice versa so I didn’t like that . He told us all about the ruins as we were waiting in line to enter so by time I got by the ruins I didn’t really remember all that he said . I think it’s not efficient to have two different language groups together! Also I didn’t like that there is a photographer with you at the snorkeling site and senote. After the end of the day she puts together a slide show then offers a photo package for $50-$60 but you have to pay first before seeing all the photos and there is way more than you would want. She was going to add photos not from this trip but nature photos which are nice but don’t mean anything if you didn’t see it. I think $25-$30 and offer less photos would be better ! The timing of the trip was off too . We drove past the senote to go snorkeling so it might have been less crowded at lunch and snorkeling if we did the senote first after the ruins then lunch then snorkeling last! The Tulum beach was super crowded . Lunch was ok busy too! We had a wonderful tour guide and our driver Eric was good too both very friendly and helpful but not my favorite tour .

Ceaser & Roger were a great guide and driver. Our family with 2 teens enjoyed ourselves, the cenote was the favorite!

Sting rays, and turtles, and bats, oh my!
Ashley_W, Feb 2024
My family and I had such a lovely time on this tour! The guide Ariann was so communicative and bubbly and extremely knowledgable. The ruins had a lot of history, and it was nice to see how the Tulum ruins compared to history learned from a previous tour at Chichen Itza. Swimming with the fish, sting rays, and turtles in Akumal was so special. I was worried that we wouldn't actually see any turtles, and we saw 5 of them on the tour! Seeing them eating the seagrass close to the surface was so sweet. And lastly, the cenote was very cool. I've experienced a cenote in Chichen Itza that was like a large underground pool, but this was very different. We swam through the underground caves with all the stalagmites and stalactites, saw a few (friendly!) bats, and the mineral water felt so refreshing on a warm February day. Would highly highly recommend to everyone!
Response from Host, Feb 2024
It sounds like you had an absolutely wonderful and diverse experience on the tour! From the historical richness of the Tulum ruins to the magical encounters in Akumal and the refreshing exploration of the cenote, it seems like the tour offered a perfect blend of cultural and natural wonders. Ariann's communicative and knowledgeable guidance likely added a special touch to the tour, providing insights and context to the historical sites. The opportunity to swim with fish, stingrays, and turtles in Akumal must have been a truly special and memorable experience, especially given the surprise of encountering five turtles during the tour. Exploring the cenote with its underground caves, stalagmites, stalactites, and friendly bats sounds like a unique and refreshing adventure. Your enthusiastic recommendation is likely to be valuable for others seeking a similar experience. Best regads Laura OCEAN TOURS
Very Memorable Day In Mexico
Andrea_K, Feb 2024
Our guide Yul was incredible! Very knowledgable and entertaining! The tour was very well paced, we did not feel rushed at all. I have to add that the photographer on this tour (I'm sorry I don't remember her name) took INCREDIBLE pictures! She is very talented and her pictures are well worth the money. Thank you for the memorable day!
Response from Host, Feb 2024
I'm thrilled to hear that your guide, Yul, made your tour incredible with his knowledge and entertaining style. A well-paced tour and the added touch of a talented photographer capturing incredible pictures certainly make for a memorable day. No worries about not remembering the photographer's name, but it's fantastic that her skills left such a positive impression. Laura OCEAN TOURS
First time seeing sea turtles and stingray!
Chelsea_S, Jan 2024
Our guide, Homer, did a wonderful job of providing a great experience for everyone on our tour. We were the only family in our group who spoke English and Homer did an amazing job of providing the tour information and details to the rest of the group and then to us. Our kids (ages 13 and 10) found the tour to be very interesting and enjoyable as well. We loved seeing and learning about the Tulum ruins, but by far, our favorite part was seeing the turtles, stingray and starfish at Akumal. The Cenote and lunch in the jungle was a cool experience as well. Great tour and an excellent tour guide!
Response from Host, Jan 2024
Dear Chelse, It's wonderful to hear that your guide, Homer, provided a fantastic experience for everyone on the tour, accommodating both English and non-English speakers seamlessly. It's great that your kids found the tour interesting and enjoyable, and that you all had a memorable time exploring the Tulum ruins, encountering marine life at Akumal, and experiencing the cenote and jungle lunch. Thank you for sharing your positive feedback about the tour and your excellent tour guide. Magical experience with snorkeling as a highlight

Response from Host, Jan 2024
I'm thrilled to hear that you had a memorable experience with Ocean Tours, especially with Gabo as your fantastic host and Meli capturing the moments with her camera. This tour was a great and...
Amir_S, Dec 2023
This tour was a great and worthwhile way to spend half a day. Our guide Luisa has a great happy attitude, spoke English, and always made sure we knew what is next, what to expect, where to be when, etc. She made sure to let us know where the best bathrooms were, shifted the schedule a bit to make sure we had the cenotes all to ourselves, and had a solution to any issue that may have come up. Pick up was around 8:20am and the drive from our hotel in Riviera Maya to Tulum was fairly short and we got their before a lot of the crowds. We had an English speaking tour guide for the ruins who was informative but not overbearing. The tour was just long enough to see everything and have some time to walk around on our own before heading back to the car to go snorkeling and see some stingrays, fish, and of course the sea turtles. It was beautiful, the equipment was good and clean, and we were able to see everything. After that we had lunch before heading to a beautiful small and deep cenota with the bluist water I've ever seen. After that we had time to shower and change before heading back of the hotel, around 3pm. Some tips: Bring water shoes for the cenota If you have sensitive skin bring a water shirt as the snorkeling part is in a natural reserve and no sunscreen is allowed.
Response from Host, Jan 2024
It sounds like you had a fantastic half-day tour with Luisa as your guide! Her positive attitude, English fluency, and attention to detail, such as ensuring you knew the schedule and providing helpful tips, likely contributed to a smooth and enjoyable experience. Starting early in the morning and arriving at Tulum before the crowds is a smart move to make the most of your time at the ruins. Having an English-speaking tour guide for the ruins added an informative touch without being overwhelming, allowing you to explore the area on your own as well. The snorkeling experience, complete with stingrays, fish, and sea turtles, sounds like a memorable underwater adventure. Lunch followed by a visit to a beautiful cenote with clear blue water must have provided a perfect combination of relaxation and exploration. Thank you for sharing some useful tips for future travelers, like bringing water shoes for the cenote and a water shirt for those with sensitive skin due to sunscreen restrictions in the natural reserve during the snorkeling part. It's these practical details that can enhance the overall experience. Best regards Laura OCEAN TOURS
Fast- paced, cultural ,yet relaxing the 3 in 1 tour
Gerald_S, Dec 2023
Tour guide, Homero was very polite, knowledgeable and patient.Driver,Erik was punctual and a good driver. The 3 in 1 Tour was a good choice as it gave us a chance to experience the Tulum Ruins, Swim with the turtles and explore the cenotes, whilst getting to know guide and the other tourists.
Response from Host, Dec 2023
It's wonderful to hear that you had a positive experience with your tour guide, Homero, and driver, Erik! Politeness, knowledge, and patience in a guide are certainly key qualities that enhance the overall tour experience, and it sounds like Homero exemplified these traits. Punctuality and safe driving from Erik are also crucial elements for a smooth and enjoyable trip. Best regards Laura Ocean Tours
Great experience that I would highly recommend.
Michael_P, Dec 2023
The tour guide Sofia was awesome! The beauty and the history around the Tulum ruins was well worth the trip. The sea turtle snorkeling was a lot of fun. The Cenote we visited was a cave that we swam through with great explanations from Sofia of so many topics. Definitely my favorite Cenote that we have visited.
Response from Host, Dec 2023
It sounds like you had an incredible tour experience, and Sofia played a significant role in making it memorable! Exploring the beauty and history of the Tulum ruins must have been fascinating, and the sea turtle snorkeling adds an exciting touch to the adventure. The cenote visit, especially swimming through a cave with Sofia's insightful explanations, sounds like a unique and educational experience. Best regards Laura Ocean Tours
Tulum Ruins, Cenote and Swimming with Turtles
Cesar_C, Nov 2023
This tour was awesome! The ruins at Tulum and Cenote gave great insight as to the Mayan culture hierarchy but the best part was actually ocean snorkelling with the giant turtles...loved it all!!
Response from Host, Nov 2023
Dear Cesar, Exploring the ruins at Tulum and the cenote must have been a fascinating glimpse into the rich history and culture of the Mayans. And swimming with giant turtles during ocean snorkeling sounds like an unforgettable experience! It's wonderful that you enjoyed every aspect of the tour. If there's anything specific about your adventure that stood out or if you have more details you'd like to share, I'm all ears! Diana Ocean Tours Team.

We had a wonderful day! Miguel, our guide, was knowledgeable, helpful and caring the whole trip. Nico was a great driver and we really appreciated having a driver and a guide. Tony did amazing photography and it was great to not have to worry about getting photos, especially of the turtles and still have the memories captured.

Cesar (salad) the greatest tour guide of all time
Alexandra_B, Oct 2023
Our guide Cesar (like the salad) was easily the best guide of any tour we’ve ever taken. He was funny and upbeat. On top of that he was knowledgeable and kind. We took 7 tours during our stay and this one was our favorite. The turtles were abundant, the cenote beautiful, and the ruins mesmerizing. You simply HAVE to take this tour!
Response from Host, Oct 2023
Dear Alex, It sounds like Cesar truly made the tour unforgettable with his humor, upbeat personality, and wealth of knowledge. It's wonderful to hear that out of the seven tours you took during your stay, this one stood out as your favorite. The abundance of turtles, the beauty of the cenote, and the mesmerizing ruins all combined to create a truly exceptional experience. Your enthusiasm is contagious! I'm sure your recommendation will inspire others to embark on this incredible tour. Diana Ocean Tours Team.
Really glad I did this!! 3 cool things
Meg_S, Sep 2023
Great experience! Snorkeling we saw 2-3 turtles, starfish, stingray, many colorful fish (parrotfish, amongst others). Cenote was so cool! It’s in a cave. Really glad I did this. Lunch was light but snacks provided. There’s a photographer that comes along who takes beautiful pictures for $40-$55 you can buy. Bring a morning snack for the drive if you’d like (I think it’s an hour and a half from Cancun; I came from Tulum so was minimal car time for me). Plenty of water provided. Only thing I’d clarify is the website and online says to bring $15 USD for park fee but then their email/text says to bring $20 and that’s what I paid. Also please note I guess you’re not supposed to wear sunscreen at the beach (or in the ocean altogether,I didn’t understand this exactly) and I am so fair I would’ve literally died so I put some on anyway, in parking lot before the beach, but felt really bad. Use biodegradable only if you must use. Cesar (Salad!) was a great tour guide, helped me get water at a place, and knew English AND German which is a lot of work for him!
Response from Host, Sep 2023
Dear Meg, thank you so much for your full review, it is amazing that you saw so many fishes and sealife! Also that you liked the cavern cenote were you went. About the park fee, the amount has just been updated starting on this month, from 15 to 20 USD, only for the tour that you tooked, this is brand new and this information has already been updated in our website, an apology for the missunderstanding about the amount. Regarding the use of sunscreen, we advice customers not to take sunscreen when the tour starts, and to apply it just one time at least one hour before you go into the water. This is because sunscreen has chemical products that are affecting the sea ecosystem and the corel reef. This is a very serious problematic that has been afected our environment and the sea life in the past years. México has the second biggest coral reef in the world, and it's been presenting a bad disease (SCTLD in english) that has already killed a big part of it. One of the reasons is the contamination and the chemicals founded on water, result of the use of sunscreen. Our company tries to generate the less possible impact on the environment. For this reason, we suggest you using long sleeve shirts and hat (as all of our guides does). If you think sunscreen is still a major need, you can ask your tour guide for the best momento to apply it. Thank you so much for choosing us and share this experience with us! Kindly, Paula - Ocean Tours Team
