      never showed up. I waited there five hours later they told me sorry we had to cancel because of lack of participants.

      I would give it zero reviews if I could. they never showed up at the meeting point. And they told me only five hours later into the trip time, but they had to cancel because they weren’t enough people. I have the email to prove it and obviously I received the full refund. I booked it this week in advance and they didn’t respond to any of my request for confirmations on WhatsApp, a few days before the excursion, as well as the night before, and the morning of. I woke up at 5 AM just to get there on time and I got there 30 minutes before the required time and waited an hour after but no one showed up. I ended up doing the trail on my own. they have a lot of nerve telling me five hours into the trip that they canceled because of lack of participants that’s just rude and considerate to my time. Don’t let them waste yours.

      Sergio, our tour guide, was absolutely amazing!! Knowledgeable, courteous, attentive, patient, passionate, and inspiring!! Please remember you are hiking through an actual forest for 4 hours so dress appropriately.

      My friend and I went on the Waterfalls and caves tour with Alessandra from Hike in Rio and she was our dream tour guide! Firstly, Alli is very warm and friendly (she speaks perfect English) and she's also very engaging with her impressive experience and knowledge of Tijuca. For our hike, Alli graciously indulged us by doubling up as a 'photoshoot photographer', patiently taking great shots of us at the beautiful waterfalls/caves that we visited - so not only does Alli have a great level of professionalism as a guide but she also has some serious skills with a camera phone which should not be underrated! The hike was the perfect mix of discovery and fun - I cannot recommend Hike in Rio more!

      This was an incredible experience! The waterfalls and caves were beautiful - Juliana (my wonderful guide) said that bathing under a waterfall cleanses the soul, and it really did feel both otherworldly and grounding at the same time.
