What To Expect

Your evening tour starts at Sant'Andrea della Valle, where you’ll meet your guide in the shadows of the church’s baroque façade. Then begin your exploration into Rome’s thousands of years of ghostly history.

Walk along Corso Vittorio to Campo de’ Fiori, an ancient square that has been a lively part of the city since the 1200s. While you soak up the chilling atmosphere of the square after dark, hear about the supernatural activity that has taken place here over the centuries. Then head across Piazza Farnese, passing by Palazzo Farnese, on your way to Ponte Sisto, a 15th-century bridge. Cross the Tiber River, walking toward the Church of Santa Maria dell’Orazione e Morte, and stop at the site of the ancient Corte Savella prison, where Beatrice Cenci, a noblewoman from the late Renaissance era, was sentenced to death for the murder of her father. Was it fair? Hear about her story and her ghost that still calls for justice.

Continue along Via dei Banchi Vecchi and Via del Banco di Santo Spirito to Castel Sant’Angelo, commissioned by Rome’s Emperor Hadrian in 123 AD as a mausoleum. The imposing structure has had many lives, from fortress to pope’s residence to prison, and as such, is shrouded in legends and mysteries.

Bad experience

I have saved the evening for night tour, I was at the meeting spot 15 minutes before the tour supposed to start, But I was waiting almost 45 above the Schedule but no one was there not tour guide, it was not responding from the office. I would like to receive the money back!!!!

We had heard parts of almost all of the stories during our daytime walking tour, and we were disappointed that this tour was not filled with some mystery and intriguing storytelling. We appreciate our guide being very friendly and answering questions about daily life in Rome.

This has been my most favorite experience during my stay in Rome so far! Thought I had signed up for a night bus tour, but turned out to be pleasantly surprised with this totally awesome and soooo worth it walking night tour. My husband and I learned so much about ancient Rome. The stories were so wild, creepy and out there! Just loved everything about this experience. It was so nice to connect with other world travelers. Out tour guide was fantastic! She was so articulate and funny! I'm not sure if I will find something else do here in Rome that will top the experience I had on the night walking tour.

When you pay a tour with that price you expect at least in a city like Rome to have headphones or something for the experience to be good. The tour was Worst that we hoped and we do not recommend it.

Great walking tour of Rome that left out of Piazza Navona area and walked towards the bridges over the Tiber and ending in Castel Sant'Angelo. Our tour guide Mauro was good at story telling and the legends were fun and interesting. Walked through the back alleys of Rome in an area that we had not explored. It was an evening tour, started at 9:15pm ending at 10:30pm. Now it was a bit difficult to hear without radios and some of the intrigue is definitely lost in translation.

Our tour guide was so passionate and hilarious! This was an intimate setting with only 12ish people. The stories were great and very interesting. She was able to keep our attention and focused the entirety of the tour. I wish I could remember her name (she’s from Canada), but I would highly recommend her!
