What To Expect

Meet your guide just steps the Vatican Museums to avoid the chaos just outside the entrance and make your way through the crowd and directly inside with skip-the-line tickets. Follow your guide through the vast complex of galleries to focus on the most important works of art. Visit Raphael’s Rooms, the Gallery of the Candelabras, Gallery of the Maps, and Pinecone Courtyard before ending your time inside the museum in the Sistine Chapel.

Morning tours—with the exception of Wednesdays, when the Pope holds his public audience—then continue on through the interior passage for skip-the-line entry to St. Peter’s Basilica, where you’ll leave your guide and have free time to explore the church and its masterpieces at your own pace.

  • Children 6 and under are entitled to free access to the Vatican Museums (with proof of age)
  • Children aged 7-18 are entitled to a reduced entry fee (see tour and ticket pricing) and must provide proof of age.
  • Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements.
  • At least 4 people are required for the guided tour options to take place.
  • Check-in is 15 minutes prior to the booked start time. Tickets are time sensitive and we cannot accomodate late arrivals.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 100 travelers

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

This was the most boring and slow-moving tour. The guide was annoying and spent more time telling us where to stand and line up at each stop than about the art we were looking at. It was 3 hours of “stand here; Come closer; move out of the way.” She would repeat random instructions 5-6 times even though everyone in the group was following directions. Additionally, she would stop at random places with very little to look at and give a monologue for 10-20 minutes. The skip-the-line was the only perk.

Having a guide is good. He gives us important information re the Sistine chapel and many of the art pieces. The crowd is so huge. I really won’t know how to navigate on my own. Altho doing it on your own is a lot cheaper. But time is also precious. I will recommend the tour

Martina was awesome. I just wish I picked a tour that also had a guided portion for the Basilica. There’s just too much to see. Sistine and the museum is really great, but St. Peter’s is remarkable. Do not go by yourself as the line into the square is 2hr+ long.
