      Pretty good experience, but tour guide did not take us to Colosseum floor once inside

      Overall a great experience. I highly recommend doing and you see a lot of gorgeous sites. The tour guide was also excellent and very informative. However, she never took us on the Colosseum floor as which we were supposed to, per the description when I signed up for the tour

      Let’s just say we got to the Colosseum an hour early and couldn’t find the meeting place that they told us. When we finally got to the meeting place, everybody from the tour company was rude and unaccommodating. We started the tour with 28 people and we left after an hour and a half. There were only two people left at that point. The tour guide was very nice and pleasant. However, we had other things we needed to do and we feel she wasted a lot of our time. We were able to get into the Colosseum and skip the lines. I recommend that you use this tour just to be able to get it to the calcium and do it on your own. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had trying to find a location in dealing with the root workers there.

      More Roman Forum than Colosseum. It was very hot and the guide tried to keep us in the shade as much as possible. More time was spent in the Forum than anywhere else and we didn’t get to go to the top of Palatine Hill as we were running out of time. The 3 hours was hard going in the heat and we were itching to get to the colosseum. The guide used her expansive knowledge to give us the back story of the many artifacts.

      Meeting up was easy and efficient. Our guide Julia (Guilia) was awesome. Very knowledgeable and did a great job leading the large group on a hot day. She really helped make this tour awesome. The tour itself was very interesting and covered the major pieces. Would book this again.

      Fascinating tour with a knowledgeable and engaging guide who brought the sites to life. Think her name was Judy - she really was excellent. There’s so much to see that having someone to show you round helps to focus on the main features (and also conserve your energy as you are led in a logical route). The views from the top of the Paletine Hill were well worth the climb.

      Booked a tour and due to a flight delay with my airline, I was unable to make it on time. The tour operator was unresponsive to both Viator and myself to request another time slot during the same day or visit. Very poor customer service to take the money without providing the service. I would not book a tour with them.

      Unorganized chaos

      This tour was not organized well. The guide was supposed to be holding a sign with the name of the company. They ended up having a different company on the sign and had no mention of viator. When I asked (the first time) I was told that was a different tour. I had to ask again to determine this was actually the correct tour. We were 15 minutes late leaving as the guide didn't seem to know what was going on. When we got to the Coliseum, we took 15 minutes more to get tickets. After that, the tour went well.

We would like to point out that it is never mentioned that customers have to look for Viator signs at meeting points. As always, our assistants show our company sign. It could simply happen that there is quite of people, especially during high season. As well as about the waiting during this season, it is not depending on a delay, but it is an usual time to let your guide organize tickets.
