What To Expect

Your tour starts with hotel pickup for the drive through one of the city's old, wealthy neighborhoods where you can admire the architecture and hear about some of the people who live here.

Then head toward the city's civic center to see sights such as the parade ground, Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, La Moneda Palace, and the post office. Next, depending on your option selected when booking, head up to Santa Lucia Hill or San Cristobal Hill for photo ops, and then check out a traditional craft shop.

Your last stop is Mercado Central (Central Market), where you can look around and have lunch, if you wish (own expense). Your tour then ends with return to your pickup point.

Great tour for 4 hours

This is a great little tour to get some historical things around Santiago. I recommend to do the cable car part as this was the best part of the tour.

The tour never happened....

The tour never happened. I got a confirmation text message the night before from the guide themselves with a 9a call time. At 9:15 on the day of, I got a message back saying simply the tour wouldn’t be happening. It took more than 2 hours for the agency to respond; they didn’t offer a same day option. I wound up booking through my hotel instead.

Strolling through Santiago

Santiago has very European-like city vibes with great food and incredible coffee. We spent a good portion of the day strolling through and driving by many of the most interesting parts of the town in a very relaxing and comfortable style. Eric (our driver and tour guide) was very friendly, accommodating, extremely knowledgeable, and super-personal. We truly enjoyed this day and returned the next day to spend more time at a few favorite spots we had visited with Eric.

good tour, english speaking driver, drove safely saw most everything on the expected tour It was too hot, no air conditioning in the vehicle, which prompted me to stop the tour early. Be sure to ASK for air conditioning, in February it is very hot, and with no reprieve from the heat, you will not enjoy the tour as much

Our driver/guide, Ignacio, was excellent! He is very knowledgeable about his country and his hometown and was happy to both answer my questions and to help me practice Spanish. He picked us up and dropped us off on time and was careful to plan the day to help us see as much as we could in our short time together. I truly enjoyed my time with him and highly recommend this tour!

Amazing tour by Ignacio to the many city sites that you could never do on your own in 4 hours!!! The tour was very informative and at a relaxed pace making for an enjoyable time. Definitely a tour worth taking if you visit Santiago.

A quick city tour - too short. Not a half day tour.

The cable car up the mountain showed how immense the city is. Views were spectacular. The actual city tour was only 2 1/2 hours. One of those hours we were on our own without the driver. We were not properly notified of pickup time. Communication could have been better. The walking time in the city was brief.

We were extremely surprised that we ended up with a private tour! Our tour guide and driver were excellent. The tour guide spoke English extremely well and was very knowledgeable. She took us to all of the points of interest that were covered by the tour itinerary, and explained the history extremely well. We were very fortunate to have her as our tour guide. All in all, this was a fantastic tour and we would recommend it highly to anyone.
