Great way to explore Valparaiso and Viña del Mar

Pablo was a great tour guide. Very informative and was great at speaking both Spanish and English so everyone on the trip could understand him. Gave a good taste of all the areas we visited, a fully packed day but a good trip to do.

We miss the house of Pablo Neruda in Valparaiso

All the stars are only for our guide Sergio that was really good, anyway we was disappointed because it was impossible for us to visit the house of Pablo Neruda "LA SEBASTIANA". In the tour was planned the visit for about 20 minutes of stop, but we arrived too early and the house was closed ... I asked if it was possible to go back but I was told no. If you want to see that house is better if you choose another tour.

Pick up at 8:00 instead of 6:30. We waited an hour and half. This was advertised as English and Spanish. There are 17 of us and only 2 that needed English, one was bilingual He started out talking 20 minutes in Spanish and about 4 minutes English. He starts in English after talking in Spanish but falls back to Spainish. . He did try but when 14 people speak Spanish and you have to wait 10 minutes then he turns to you two and says 2 sentences in English and goes on to the next thing it is frustrating. He lost 2 people for awhile and got upset and never really cared afterwards. He never talked again and actually fell asleep on the hour and half back. The traffic was bad coming in so he dropped us off about a mile from our hotel even though we said we did not know where we were and asked him to take us to the hotel. He was very dismissive. This is the first time I have been disappointed in Viator.

Hola buen dia lamentamos la situacion que le ocurrio pero todos los tours de viña del mar valparaiso parten los pick up a las 06.30 am me parece extraño que lo hallan recogido a las 08.00 am y usted no se comunico con la agencia siendo que el GPS de la van a las 08.00 am estaban en casablanca en la primera parada, el extravio de las 2 personas no es culpa del guia se da todas las indicaciones y muchas vecez hay pasajeros que no hacen caso a las indicaciones y se van hacia cualquier lado y cuando hay trafico o alguna manifestación se trata de dejar a los pasajeros lo mas cerca posible de sus hoteles para no pasar 1 hora mas en la van y lo dejaron a 1 cuadra no es para perderse ya que el guía le dio todas las indicaciones como llegar.

Sergio was our tour guide and he was excellent. A very caring guide. I felt like we saw everything that was on the published tour information and we spent a great amount of time going up and down stairs in the Valparaiso district. Such colorful homes and streets! Sergio took great care of everyone, translating into 3 different languages every thing that was going on. I highly recommend this tour!

Travel was alright and on time. We went to all the sites as advertised. However, it felt that our guide was not very knowledgeable and that he did not have many explanations, at times he was even confused about where to walk.

Multi-lungual value for money trip

This is basically a tour of Valparaiso with a coffee stop enroute and a lunch stop, and a little free time, in Vina del Mar on the way back. Outstanding value and well organized multi-lungual tour. You do not have to eat lunch at the dedicated stop as long as you are back at the alloted time. Our tour guide was the lovely Catalina. She was knowledgeable, humorous and managed to deliver information to all the various language speakers effortlessly. She is a real credit to the company.

If you want to visit Valparaíso, do it yourself

I wouldn't recommend this kind of tour. If you really want to see Valparaíso, do it yourself. Viña Del Mar is a touristic place full of hotels and not really worth visiting as a day trip. I got picked up at 7AM and got dropped off after 7PM. You would think I saw many things on 12 hours tour, but most of the time we spent in the bus and restaurants. We were walking around Valparaíso for about an hour. In Viña del Mar we only visited the famous flower clock for about 10 minutes and left for the restaurant. After that we also got to see a beach with sea lions. But all in all, as someone who is spending a couple of months traveling around South America, I wouldn't recommend this trip.

Lamentamos que no fuera de su expectativas pero es irresponsable recomendar que LO HAGAN POR SUS MEDIOS si no conoce el lugar si hubiera ido solo(a) no habrá recorrido nada de lo que vio por Valparaiso y de viaje son 3 hora ida y vuelta en total y si para usted no valió la pena visitar Viña del Mar para otros turistas si les gusta y mucho, que pena que no le halla gustado estas 2 ciudades están especiales y magníficas pero no recomiende algo que nunca ha ido y puede causar confusión en los turistas si usted nunca ha ido sola(o) a ese lugar.

Agent booked tour witch was cancelled due to quarantine

The agents work from another country and don’t have any idea of any tours in this country. Many reactions in Chile are on quarantine and will be for a while, changing from phases - so many tours are not operating. Don’t book first - ask agent if they know the situation because then you have to go through trouble to get your refund and waste time . Better contact directly the company locally who does tours- also better prices

It was a decent tour except that I expected a bit more sightseeing in Valparaiso. The tour covered only one general area and I was a bit disappointed that I didn't see the more colorful houses in other areas. Part of the reason for the shortcoming is that there are multiple parties from different hotels and it took a bit more time to pick everyone up. One of the group (family of 3 chain smokers) did not follow the group and got lost. We wound up wasted valuable time to find them. Vina del Mar was a nice place to visit, nice beach with lots of visitors.

Great way to see Valparaiso and Vina del Mar while in Santiago. Our guider Franco was very knowledgeable and spoke good English. Our driver Juan Carlos was also great. Franco selected a really good restaurant in Vin del Mar with a great view of the ocean.

This was a great day getting to see and walk in Valparaiso, vina Del Mar, renaca. The tour wasn’t rushed, the guide was very good as was the driver. The restaurant chosen for lunch was well priced and had excellent seafood while having a beachfront view. You cannot get a better value than this!
